Happy New Year everyone! I can’t believe it’s already 2019. Doesn’t even feel like it’s January! Been spending the last few days in Florida and it’s been 80+ degrees! Even back home in Texas it has been cooler weather

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! This week has gone by so fast. So much going on

I can take or leave A Christmas Story. I finally let my daughter watch it and she loves it! She walks around the house saying “Daddy’s gonna kill Ralphy” and proceeds to fake cry [emoji23] As for myself, I prefer the original A Christmas Carol and Miracle on 34th Street

Yay! I’m excited. Although I’m not much of a poster, I love reading everyone’s comments throughout the year

The tree looks beautiful. We have been going out and cutting our tree as well and the kids love it. I would have a hard time switching to an artificial tree. We have had real trees ever since I was little but I know the convenience of having the artificial ones would be great. No watering and you can put it up when you want without having to worry about the tree dying too early. Oh and the needles falling out everywhere

I usually try and get some good toy deals for Angel Tree donations, but momma does need a new pair of Converse

Happy October everyone! Can’t believe we are getting close the BF. I’ll just be here patiently waiting for the first ad. Oh who am I kidding...hurry up already and bring on the first ad!!! The wait is killing me. I look forward to this time of year and waiting on the ads to come. Waiting on the ads is like waiting for it to get cooler in Texas. [emoji260][emoji262][emoji316]

Our Christmas Eve tradition has been going to my grandmother’s house and Santa comes for a visit and hands out gifts. Usually my dad or one of the uncles would dress up but some of the older kids started catching on. They would always look to see wasn’t there to guess who it was. 4-5 years ago I found a Santa (and. Mrs Claus if you wanted) that would come to your house and read a story with the kids and hand out gifts if you want him too. It was so funny the first time we got them, my niece was determined Santa was my Dad (her grandpa) so I told her when Santa came that night all she had to do was see who was there and of course my Dad was there and she didn’t know what to say. Her eyes just got so big in amazement. After the several visits our new Santa has learned all the kids names and remembers them on a personal level which makes the moment more memorable for them. I have a large family and he stays and takes pictures with everyone!!

Wow! I can’t believe August is just about half way over. Kids are about to go back to school! Where has this summer gone? We just came back from a trip to PA from TX.
