All 3 of the monitors that we have on sale will be big items, we're not expecting them to last longer than 15-30 minutes. However, we are doing crowd control, we are actually handing them out and making people stand in line and ask for them, so keep an eye out for that also.

Our entire district (which includes Dayton and Columbus) didn't have the national ad last year, but that was just for one year. This year the Iowa stores don't have the national ad. They just test different districts every year. It's no big deal really. Last year at the Beavercreek store, the gift card thing actually worked out pretty well. A lot of people liked it. They didn't get the super cheap deals, but they basically got all of their accessories that they needed for free.

That's pretty good. I'm not a digital camera afficienado, (but I do work at Best Buy and know what cameras are decent) but you'd be hard pressed to even find a decent 7.2 mega-pixel camera for under $250.

I don't work at the Polaris store, but I work at another store that is close by, all of the ones in Columbus will be packed. I know that you probably don't want to drive this far, but the one by the Salem Mall (in Dayton) would honestly probably be your best bet. Nobody likes shopping at that store. I used to work at the Beavercreek store (also in Dayton) and the line is usually around the entire building by 2 am.

It really depends on where you are. You should take a look at your specific ad. The ads are different. Like here in Ohio, we are having 18 months on TVs, 12 months on cameras, and 6 months on anything else over $299.99.

The Best Buy I work at has 27 of the emachines. I would think that you could upgrade, but I don't know, the 15" LCD it comes with looks like a BF only monitor, but who knows.

Yeah, this will be my 3rd BF working with Best Buy and by 3 to 4 am the line is usually wrapped around the store (if it's a stand alone store). I worked the last 2 BFs at the Beavercreek, Ohio store (a 45,000 sq. ft. store) and the line was around the entire store by 4.

I actually work in the Best Buy computer department and yes, the 22" Westinghouse has VGA.

I don't think it has anything to do with the states not allowing prices below cost. This will actually be my 3rd BF with Best Buy and last year our district (Columbus and Dayton Ohio) didn't run the national ad. In fact we had the same deal that you are saying that Iowa is doing this year.

I don't know about the Best Buy near you, but the store I'm at guarantees price matching. The rule is that if it's within 14 days of the purchase date and the price is lower, then all you have to do is bring in your receipt and we'll match the price. Oh and that's supposed to be company policy.

The one I am at is pretty good at returning items if they are defective... however especially if you are planning to get a plasma tv, we recommend the service plan regardless. Heck even Consumer Reports recommends Best Buy's service plan on a lot of items, but especially on plasma tvs. The computer is tough to say, I work in computers and if we truly have this deal (which I don't even know if we do to tell you the truth) the computer is usually gone the same day and we never get it again because they are special once box items (ie the monitor and computer are in the same box).

I don't believe our Best Buy did this. We passed out tickets for certain items before we even opened the doors. Oh and to answer your question in the other thread, I'm not going to say which item, but I do know that one of the items they have listed as being in our BF ad is actually in this Sunday's ad.

That, I'm not sure about... you might take the chance just in case because we usually have at least one REALLY good deal on BF. I would check out the Best Buy nearest you on Sunday as well because sometimes we have better deals than just what our ad shows because we can only put so much into a 10-20 page ad. And this Sunday's ad is actually just 8 REALLY big pages.

Sorry to break it to you guys, but you should have kept those. The BF deals on GottaDeal are not correct. There are a few things on there that may be correct, but a majority of them are incorrect. As a Best Buy employee, I know that we are making THIS Sunday's through Wednesday's ad better than our BF ad on purpose. We are doing it so that people don't have to go through the lines on BF. We are expecting 1/3 of the people we had last BF on this BF.
