i fully agree with bigbob. you have to watch a configuration or 3 that you'd be interested in buying for quite a while. most of the time the price doesn't change much, especially if you're interested in a very base system. but sometimes either their deals line up with exactly what you were looking for, or they just have something truly fantastic, and you get a big discount. i took a couple months looking for the notebook i'm typing on right now, and got an absolutely killer deal (hint: i got it in june 2003 and the first time you could buy a better notebook for cheaper was the $500 coupon in nov 2004).
