Am I the only snow bird in NY? Western New York not the city?!??!?!?!? :gd_orange I would think there would be more from my area- the one news channel was promoting this site for 2 days on their news programs!

I will admit- I did it! A few years ago there was something that my brother wanted. Well we saw on T-day that it was going to be on sale BF at Kmart- so we went to Kmart on Tday and hid it! I put it in the sporting department behind some bowling ball bags!!!!! LOL AND when we got into the store, finally on bf, I had to go past that display to get to my hidden product and they were already all gone- went to my bowling bag shelf and wouldnt ya know-------IT WAS STILL THERE!!!!!! I was so excited!!!! I'm thinking of doing that this year again with the paper shredder at kmart- it's $9 and my mom wants one. I was planning on going there on turkey day anyways- so i might! LOL

I used to work at BBW- they are DEAD on BF. At least the ones around here. No one really wonders in there till after lunch time and they hit the real sales. They always just had thier normal sales- nothing huge. Now, come a few days before christmas, the place is mobbed with MEN!!! They were the easiest ones to sell to at that point in the season! LOL :)

I thought it was cute so I signed up for a tuke in call and a wake up call- they will come on my cell phone though. I'm a nerd for free little things like that. I was going to have them call my home so that while i'm standing in line Kermit the Frog would wake up the hubby- then i though, nah, he'd kill me! LOL

I agree!!!! You miss the people huddled together waiting in line with their hands wrapped around their travel mugs of coffee and jumping around to keep warm. Plus the christmas lights look prettier in the snow! LOL But it would be nice to not worry about sweaters, heavy coats, boots, gloves, etc...... LOL:bounce_fl

I just watched the Noon News forecast Thrusday HIGH 36 Friday HIGH 31 Yes Ladies and Gentleman- those are our HIGH'S LOL- but ya know what- it really isnt that bad when you have lived here your whole life, can't imangine christmas without snow. I just wish it would wait to come till about 12/22 or so and then it could go away in Janurary instead of March! LOL (Chirstmasangel- Buffalo, New York: home of the dreded lake effect snow storms)

I live in Western New York and they are saying that we 'might' get hit with it too. But right now they are on the fence if it is going to be rain or snow. I hate cold rain- but on that day I would perfer it!

I will be going out by myself this year for the first time. I normally go with my sis-in-law and her mom. but her mom is recovering from medical problems and my sis-in-law is 36 weeks preggo!!!! So she is about to POP any day now~! LOL BUT- I think I will like going by myself, i can get more done and dont have to wait for people to putter around when i can get up and go :)
