  1. Thanks, I just programmed it on my phone.
  2. Something you will always remember. I have one for ya, Friday I had to work and hubby was home, so I threw a turkey breast in a slow cooker and left instructions for him along with a meat thermometer. He said the first time he checked the internal temp, he knew it should have read at a higher temp- he forgot to remove the red plastic cover that you store the thermometer in. Um derrrrr. It all turned it good and was actually the moistest turkey breast ever.
  3. Yes, I have seen them at Walmart with the phone cards at the check out area. I have also seen them at Best Buy I believe. Call them first before making a trip though. I know for sure I saw them at Walmart. But just for the heck of it, call them too.
  4. Thank you. I want to say the same. I also want to thank you all for being so nice to a newbie and for all the awesome deals I found because of this website and you people. Many blessings to you and yours !! Jodi
  5. Isn't she a hoot? I sent this one as my e-card to my friends and family. I got so many responses back saying I made their day. The kids love it too. Thanks for the greeting:D Jodi

    A White Christmas?

I think we are suppose to get flurries tonight but it's suppose rain tomorrow and flurries again on Christmas Day. I live north of St. Louis Mo in Illinois.
  7. Tomorrow before the relatives get here, I have to take EVRYTHING off the bottom 3 feet of tree and fix it. My 15 pound cat likes to nap in there and he squished the branches flat. My tree looks horrible. Plus I have a basket full of ornaments that have been batted off and used as hockey pucks. I don't know what is up with these cats this year- they usually mess with it for a day or two and thats it, but this year, it's been every single day since that tree was put up:eyepoppin .I think I need a guard dog for the tree. Rotten rotten critters. They are lucky I love them.
  8. I am, but today I am buying my whole family socks. It's sort of a gag gift as they all seem to be in a "sock" crisis. I tell them if they cleaned their room, they would probably find 100 socks. Ahhh, teenagers..... they leave me speechless.
  9. I have to go in my room and keep the door closed. I have 4 cats and they all manage to stick a paw or 2 in while I am wrapping. They also like to crawl under the paper when it's layed out. I put gifts under the tree, but no bows as they are plucked off and used as hockey pucks. The rotton lil critters! But they do listen better than my kids though Gotta love our furbabies.
  10. We have a wooden reindeer that has slots to stick the cards in and it sits on the floor. It's actually cute. My mom went through her Christmas stuff and didnt want it and gave it to me. Free is always good
  11. Ok how stupid do I feel That's what I get for shopping at 5 in the morning
  12. Arggg! I can not get the code to work. I didn't order any of the exclusions either. Can somebody give me some input on this perty please?
  13. Actually, mine started with the Easter Bunny. I was watching Peter Cottontail on tv and was thinking to myself there is no way a giant bunny hops around and hides eggs and baskets. It was like a lightbulb went off in my head that it's just inconceivable that could happpen- then in the same thought I figured there is no tooth fairy, then it eventually lead to Santa I was upset about that as he is human after all. Gone was the magic- thanks to the stupid easter bunny

    Hiding Places :)

Mine are all at my work. I check every morning to see if some nice little elf came along to wrap them, but no such luck yet. I did most of my shopping on-line so it made sense to ship them to my work. I always have stored them at work. Up until this spring, I worked at a bank so they were nice and secure in the book vault. Our supervisor would even schedule a day for somebody to wrap gifts that were stored there. I was lovin that as I hate wrapping the presents.Aah the good ol days
  15. We always stay home. Our motto is Santa doesn't come when your not at home. However- my youngest is 13 year and we are hoping that Christmas 2007 will be spent in Disneyworld. That's been our dream for years. I think we need to do next year as the Kranks did and skip it. But that's not going over too well here. I have to save up $$$ for that Disney trip. Jodi
  16. This is fromlast year, but it was either Staples or Office Max. The commercial where granny takes a pic of the family with the stapler. I about fall over every time. I also like the Radio Shack commercial where people sit down on the chair and tell what they want- the newest has a lady that talks like the people in the movie Fargo. Cracks me up because it reminds me of home. My family talks like that- Wisconsin dontcha know? Jodi
  17. Awww..... I love the Mickey Mouse orny. You did a nice job creating that holiday scene. Jodi

    Saint Nick's Day

I celebrate St. Nicks day. As a matter of fact, he came last night and left goody bags for the kids. I forgot to get their stockings down from the attic:( so they have bags this year. I don't even think they will care as they are 13, 16 and 17. I grew up with this tradition and I hope my children will keep it going. Either HGTV or The Travel Channel usually have a special about St. Nicholas. Ooh, it may be Biography. It's a pretty neat show. My kids watched it years ago and it answered a lot of their questions- they are the only kids in this entire town that have St. Nick come to their house on the night of December 5th. They also don't get their stockings filled on Christmas eve either. When they were all little, they sure felt special. Have a great day folks Jodi
  19. Oh my. I am close to $1500 for my 3 kids- ages 17,16 and 13. I did get big ticket items though- a computer, tv, and dvd/vcr recorder. And I am not done yet This is not normal either. I usually use a $1000 christmas club for the 3, but we had a little extra money this year. The older they get, the more expensive it gets Jodi
  20. We purchased a computer yesterday- a Compaq I believe. It was $439 then there was a $50 MIR but when we checked out, the rebate didn't show up on the reciept so they sent us to Customer Service. The lady there went to the back to print it off the internet for us. She came back and said she couldn't find it on the site at all and she knows we have one coming because she looked at the display with the rebate offer on the price. So..... she refunded my debit card $70. How cool is that? I truly loathe MIR and she saved me from that and gave me an extra $20 to boot. a big ol smile indeed. Just thought I would share with ya'll:gd_not_ri Jodi
