I went today to buy my daughter the Little Mermaid DVD and the Wedding toy set that were both on sale. In this week's ad if you buy both you get a kids size Ariel wedding dress for free. The people working in electronics said they were out of the dresses and would not issue rain checks (per the ad). I went back to toys and there were other Little Mermaid dresses so I paged a sales associate. I asked if I could substitute one of the other dresses for the wedding dress and at first they wouldn't even consider it. After explaining that I wanted the cheaper of the two dresses they finally agreed to call a manager. The manager was great and said sure if the dress isn't more expensive we'll be happy to substitute it. Of course the sales associate kept reminding me that they do not normally substitute when a sale item says limited quantity, no rainchecks. Then the cashier was great, she took my word for it when I told her the manager (whom I called by name) said it was fine.

I actually went through my tubs of toys that I have bought on clearance from Target throughout the year and I am almost done shopping for my family. Yeah, that means the money I've saved for BF will be spent on me!!!!

I couldn't agree more, I spent many years on BF in western PA and northern VA and last year was my first of many BF's in Florida! Last year we ordered frappacino's at Starbucks instead of coffee!

GatorPam, I'm hoping you can answer this question (or anyone who might know the answer) for me. I have a coupon from RiteAid to tansfer a prescription and get a $25 gift card, so my question is does Target pharmacy match other competitors coupons? If not, does anyone know where I can find a coupon for transfering a prescription to Target and get a gift card for transferring? I know periodically they have done this but I can't remember seeing one lately. Thanks!

We usually hit Target first and grab a Starbucks while we are there.

I just got back from Target, backpacks are now at 75% and I managed to pick up a couple of princess ones for xmas gifts. They did block the aisle after awhile so that the people marking them down could finish without being bothered by shoppers.

I have been saving the gift cards that I have acquired over the past year for BF. Target gave gift cards when you purchased certain items, so I saved all those. I'm hopeful that I don't need to use the credit cards this year.

School supplies were marked to 75% but backpacks were only 50% today. I did go looking for the picnic baskets but no luck today. I didn't have much luck at Target today, but I did find a medium sized water slide at Walmart marked down for $199 to $65.

When we lived outside of Washington DC, going for Chinese was part of our Christmas day tradition. I would make a special Christmas lunch at home and then when it got dark outside we would go downtown DC and walk around the Ellipse and look at the National Christmas Tree and the Pageant of Peace trees. When we finished we would stop by our local Chinese restaurant and have a late dinner.

I was in Target in central Fl this morning and they were busy marking the school stuff down to 50% and some to 75%. It can be confusing because not everything was being marked down, for instance, the crayola marker set stayed at 30% while the roseart was marked to 50%. I still managed to find stuff that I could use.

I stayed in touch with my brother who was waiting in line in western PA in the cold while I was enjoying my first BF in warm Florida. Shopping in the warm weather makes BF so much more enjoyable.

The school supplies are marked at 30% off today, but none of the crayola stuff was clearanced, only the Rose Art items were marked down. The One Spot items were down to 50% and there were still tons of items. I keep checking the pool stuff, some of it is at 50%, while other items were still at 30%. The lawn and garden items were scheduled to be marked down again today, but due to the weather here in Florida, the decided to close lawn and garden today. I keep watching the tiki fountains, there are only two left and they were scheduled to be marked down today; I guess I'll head back over there tomrorrow.

I got mine on Saturday and then found another machine at Target for $15 on clearance.

We went to Old Navy on Sat night and the sales clerk said the sale was on through Monday. We then went to another Old Navy store yesterday and we were told that the sale ended early and the 50% was no longer available.

I love sales like this - I bought 23 items for $53. The most expensive item bought was a pair of men's shorts for 4.50.

The Clermont store is okay for clearance but not as good as Leesburg. Clermont is the one that is only 30% on patio and toys, whereas Leesburg was 50% on some of the patio stuff and toys. The store in Leesburg is not a Super Target but the one in Clermont is...wonder if that has anything to do with the differences? If you can make time you should stop at the Kohls, they usually have great deals on their clearance.

Gator Pam I'm about 25 miles west of Orlando and I have been shopping the Clermont and Leesburg stores.

I went last evening and the Dollar Spot was marked to 4/1.00, patio stuff was still 30% and most toys were still 15 - 30%. The Dollar Spot had just been marked down earlier in the evening and it was going fast. The back to school stuff is all out since the kids go back in less than a month here in Central Fl., so hopefully the patio stuff will go down soon.

There was a ton of stuff left in The One Spot area this morning. We are taking a road trip with two toddlers in a couple of weeks so I stocked up on stuff. I'll be heading back later in the week to check out the stuff left at 75%!

My neighbor went to Target yesterday and the beach towels were marked down to 50%, including the character ones for kids. When I was there earlier in the week the toys were being marked down. I asked a sales associate when they would be marked down lower and she said that it all depends on how they are sellling. If they sell well at 30% then they will keep them at 30%, if they don't sell well, then they will mark them down further.

I got mine today, I'm not that impressed with the black color, but hey it's free so I won't complain!

I got mine today and it looks great! The frame has some missing paint, but for this price I'll replace the frame with a better one!
