  1. Like many of you I went out and waited in line at Best Buy early this morning. I was expecting to save some money on stuff I really didn't need, but suprisingly I was also treated to a wedding. I've got some strange memories of past black fridays but I think this tops them all. http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news/offbeat/112709_Black_Friday_Shoppers_Get_Married_In_Line_At_Best_Buy
  2. To me selling tickets is the same as letting someone get in front of you for cash. Both allow someone who got there (usually) significantly later than you to get the same deals as you for a little extra. Whether or not it's right or wrong is something that each person has to decide for themselves but saying one is right and the other is wrong is just hypocrisy.
  3. I'd say yes but it might be different at your store. Usually at mine they'll hold the item for you until about 11 am then they sell it to whomever wants it. Just ask the guy thats passing out the tickets and they should tell you. Just be sure to get back to BB asap. A couple years ago mine got a big fine for letting too many ppl in so they only let a certain amount in at a time so theres a long line to get in the store till noon or later.
  4. at my local mall they let you in for KB. The department stores all have an outside enterance so they make you wait there for which ever store you want. Last year they made us all line up in the service cooridor right next to KB
  5. Just got mine and was about to scan/post it thanks for saving me the trouble
  6. my first bf I went with my mom and someone stole her wallet out of her jacket pocket. He had to put most of our stuff back because I only had a small amount of cash. Luckily I had a cell phone and she called a cancelled all of the CC's. But remember the cashiers are way too busy on bf and will rarely check id's for CC purchases so be careful with your cards. Another thing if you're planning on shopping at more than one store if possible drop all of your stuff off at home between stores or at least bring a blanket or something to cover up all of your stuff. This is true throughout all holiday shopping not just BF. And if the stores are right next to each other move your car after you leave the first store so ppl think you've left. Some theives are just waiting outside to see if you'll leave your stuff in your car. Even if it means walking a mile its better than coming out and seeing your window smashed and all of your stuff gone.
  7. I was debating whether or not to go out this year but these pics made me decide to go. Even if there are just a few small things I want its the experience of bf that I'm going for.
  8. I've done this but not for my own gain lol. My uncle wanted a cd burner that was $5 after rebats at BB a few years ago but he didn't want to wait in line. He called me while I was in the store and asked me to pick it up but I didn't have the cash so I hid one by the vaccums but a sales associate saw me and put it back so I had to hide another one behinds some boxes. It was still there 3 hours later lol. The cashier was a little suprised to see something that everyone thought was sold out though lol.
  9. I went to WM two years ago and nearly got hit with a cane by some old lady because I got a dvd player and she didn't. I was already in the checkout line b4 she got into the store and she blamed me for them running out lol. I've been to BB a few times and its bad but not as bad as walmart. Last year my friends were in and out of there within 20 minutes while I had to wait in line in the computer department for 2 and half because all of the rebates were taking 5 minutes each to print out. Too bad for my friends that I drove :-) I'll be heading to BB this year hopefully it will be better but we all know thats not gunna happen
