It 'might' work. That's the kicker, everything is going to be a 'maybe'. It couldn't hurt to try, though you may be wasting your time. I'd say, the night before the sale, go ahead add stuff to your cart, and check it first thing when the sales go live.

1) That will depend on which online store, and on which item and how well their warehouse is stocked. The fastest shipper for me in the past has always been Amazon. Most do, unless you qualify for free shipping for spending X amount of dollars, if the store offers that. 5) Can't help ya on that questions F) Walmart has site-to-store, Sears has pick up at store, as does Ace Hardware.
