The chart compares LCD with Plasma. Plasma is a totally different animal. I'm no expert, but I am in the market for a mid sized LCD / LED TV and have done a little research and will be purchasing a 32" model in the next month or so. Right now, I'm leaning toward an LED. An LED TV is basically an LCD TV with a different lighting system. Although their lifespans are publicized to be equivalent, the LED lights should last much longer and therefore, the TVs should as well. I've had salesmen tell me that the LED has slightly better picture quality, but to the naked untrained eye, it may not be noticeable. The LED is a little more expensive across the board, which may reflect the increased longevity and the improved picture quality. Hope I helped answer your question.
