Two images of what a dirty Santa party could be came to mind and I was wrong on both counts! The first was an actual Santa in need of a bath, like all soot and possibly drunk. The other image is not for mixed company, lol!

The way I read this offer is that you have to buy the batteries and then you get a code for $5.00 off your next purchase, not the current one - so you have to buy some at the regular price first, right?

Where do you find a reasonable cover for the Kindle? Amazon has them for $40! Don't think so.

I don't know about your father, but my Mom is 86 and a couple of years ago I gave her a digital photo frame, which she basically just had to leave plugged in and turn it on when she wanted. She gave it back to me this summer saying she never used it. Oh well, now I have a digital photo frame. Sometimes the elderly get stuck in their ways and do not take to technology. Does your Dad use a computer at all? A cell phone? Anything like that? If not, he probably wants to stick to his books.

Our Walmart always wraps plastic around the BF sale items on pallets and nobody can touch them until the appointed sale start time. So if Walmart is opening at 10pm nobody can start "shopping" until then. Why are some of you getting to Walmart so early?

Walmart is open on Thanksgiving! My son had to work last year and he was not happy about it. He didn't even qualify for holiday pay because he hadn't been there long enough. This year he might work the morning shift if he can get holiday pay.

My theory on the packaging is that they do that to discourage theft. It's easier from someone to take a 4 x 6 package and stuff it inside their jacket then to haul off a 5 foot long box!

Well, I started out Thanksgiving night/Black Friday morning trying to order things on line - but nothing I wanted was available on line. So we got up at 4 am and headed for Target. It was raining out and I didn't want to stand outside the doors. At 4:20 we got to the store and there was no line outside, however the Wii Fit Plus was soldout. So I tried for the Shark Steam mop. They had it, but had to wait for someone to go get it from the back. Then the wait began. We were in the back of the store and had to circle around to the front in line to check out - took over 1/2 an hour. Bonus was I got to stroll around without a cart while my husband stood in line!:) I found the piggy bank I wanted, some PJ's for the kids, a hat and gloves set for the kids, some games for a needy family, but I wanted some playdoh. So I was looking up by the greeting card area and there was a box of playdoh sitting there! I looked around and nobody was there, no carts or anything. So I picked it up and waited - nobody, so it was mine! We shopped all day, including Bath and Body Works where the power went out for a few minutes so they brought out cookies and coupons. Came home and ordered the Wii Fit Plus balance board for $67 on an Amazon lightening deal! Yeah!

I ordered 3 sets for our house and one set for each of my sisters. I also ordered the cooler bag, same price - one for me and one for each of my sisters. This takes care of their gift. I'm getting them more this year for less money! It cost less for the cooler bag and dish set than it would for a bottle of shower gel at Bath and Body Works! Thank you so much for posting this!

So Walmart's black Friday sale starts at midnight?? I read in a couple of the posts here something about buying something as a price match at midnight, and a Wii system at midnight - it used to be 5am - did they change it this year? I would be so happy if they did - I'd just shop there and not even go to bed. I never can sleep anyway:rolleyes:

Are the lightening sales over? How do I access them?

I keep checking my cart. Sometimes it will say that the item in my cart has gone up and sometimes it will say it has gone down. Never any significant amounts though. One time it had gone down a penny. I want it to go down 50% or more, then I will buy!

How about a pogo stick? My dd is 10 going on 11 and she has loved her pogo stick since she was 8. In fact, she's on her second one! You can find them at ToysRUs or on-line. Boing, boing, boing....great fun.

Could someone on the west coast please post what the deals at Walmart are?

As far as I know and have experienced with JCPenney - you cannot stack codes. You have to choose either Free Shipping or the discount code. Has anyone been able to stack codes recently?

:shock:I was not impressed with the black Friday specials, so I hope Cyber Monday comes through for me! We did do pretty good at JCPenney with the deals on clothes - great prices and lots of choices.
