  1. I just saw the blackfriday ad for staples. I was not able to see the price for the canon cameras. Does anyone know what the prices are??? I really want to get a canon sd1100 for a good price. I saw several but, have not been blown away yet.
  2. we used to buy gifts for everybody about 20 adults. Then one year I suggested that we just do a grab bag and spend 50$. A couple of people were upset about the change but, really liked it when Christmas was less hectic. We though Christmas might be a little bit sad but actually we all enjoyed it more. We got back to what the reason for the season is. I am so much less stressed. The whole reason we started the grab bag was not the money seriously but, it is so hard to buy for adults if there is something that you really want most people will go but it for themselves. The other side of the family we do a couple grab bag and can spend either 50$ a person or 100$ a couple. We always buy for the kids for sure
  3. I don't know what exactly to call this. I am looking for a cabinet that holds a calendar, school papers , misc stuff. It looks like this

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Wooden-Mail-Wall-Organizer-w-Chalkboard-Key-Hooks_W0QQitemZ200256362704QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item200256362704&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

But, I want it larger and want it to fully close. I do not want a regular cabinet.

Something that looks nice that looks like a decoration when it is closed. I usually have good luck when I post here because so many of you have good ideas. I am over run with so much stuff from my kids school.

  4. Be sure to get a tarp and put it at the bottom of the slide. We had a double slide and it kept the water in pretty good but by the time we put it away, there's a big mudhole where grass is suppse to be. A tarp is great!

found that out yesterday. By the way if any one is going to Aldi's they are probably all sold out I went to 4 stores and they said they only each got 3. I had mine price matched at another store

  5. Sorry the link to the one at walmart did not work. It says out of stock online but you could check your local store. I also saw that toysrus and sears had that one so maybe you could price match. Good luck to you and let us know how it works. I have been holding back on getting one too. And have been keeping up with this thread to try and make my mind up.

Just to let you know used it yesterday and my kids love it. In my opinion only worth 200$. Glad I did not spend more I would be very disappointed

  6. I bought a blow up waterslide and this is the 2nd year we have had it. We have used it plenty of times and everything is still working fine. It came with a bag to store it in and it is easy to put up and take down. We use it in the winter as just a regular slide and in the summer when its hot. Even our friends have asked us to use it for their kids Birthday parties and we have had no problems. I think our money was well worth it.

    What kind do you have??

  7. We bought one 2 years ago. Bonzi or something like that. My kids were 10 and 6 at the time. The WHOLE neighborhood was over!LOL But, being boys, they soon got board with just slidding down. They started doing flips and things. It got hard to control! So we put it away for a few weeks. When we took it back out, it didn't work as well. The air didn't stay in it. You could hear it leaking from the seams. Then the part that holds the hose broke. So we had to tie it around. It never made it to a second season. I don't know if the construction has improved since then.... But $400 is alot of $$. If they were $99, I might consider another one. But not for $400.

That is exactly what I am worried about. If it lasted atleast 2 years I could probably justify spending the money. My kids are younger so I don't think they would be too too crazy on it but you never know. How hard was it to put away and get all of the water off off it?

  8. I also love the chocolate dipped spoons. You could do those yourself. Use silver or gold colored plastic spoons, dip the bottom in chocolate, cover with a heavy plastic (you could find the pre-made covers for suckers) & tie with a nice ribbon. LNT has also had these in store from time to time.

BTW I like the ones you picked out!

Thanks, Glad you like them. I will look into the chocolate dipped spons

  9. I have on occasion seen teacups on clearance at Pier 1 outlet or World Market. Old Time Pottery is the best place to try first. Have you tried Dollar General or Family Dollar???

I did try the dollar general and family dollar. It is so weird because I remember seeing that type of stuff there but, of course, now I need it I can't find it.

  10. My friend just gave these out for her little girl's birthday party favors! She found a whole tea kit at Ross (TJMaxx might have the same thing). She just split up the cups and saucers. I think she paid about $10 for the entire kit, and each girl (about 12) got a cup and saucer. They were beautiful!

I will check it out. Thanks. We have a Ross near us and also a TJ Maxx
