  1. Was there today, didn't see any deals like that here in Wa. They did have 1/2 off all sales prices listed, and I have that card they were giving away for an additional $10.00 off $50.00 so we did very well there today. Split the transactions up into 2 saved $20.00 and spent $110.00..whoohoo
  2. I would get the pro or maybe you can buy a core system, I wouldn't waste my money on an arcade especially if he's a real gamer. I doubt it finding a better deal, Amazon right now has the holiday bundle for $299.99 I think and has 2 full games included. Also saw another deal online for 5 games for a little more $350.ish I think. Remember the arcade version is for basically playing those arcade type games...not for saving your progress with full games like you see in stores...you'd have to get a seperate memory card for that...get one w/ a HD if you're going to spend the $. Good luck.
  3. I believe the arcade does not have a hard drive to store games, the elite has a nice sized one but the failure rate on the elites is very high. Read about the rate somewhere. We have a core system or also now called the pro I believe, all can go online if you buy the xbox live gold subscription. Take a look at all 3 of the xbox's by price arcade is cheapest, core/pro is middle, the elite is most expensive, stay with the middle price one. We started w/ the original(core) at first release, it went out last year, we bought the elite while the other was sent back, went through 3 in 1 month, took it back, got money back and waited for ours to get back. We are looking at getting another Pro/Core if you can find them at Xmas as an additional unit for the other room...ours is on almost all day! Good investment!

BTW the differencewe in the core 20 gig hard drive older version and the pro is the new 60 gig hd. HTH

  4. I use verizonwireless.com to pay my bills and view phone info. You can buy a phone off ebay(for verizon phones) and go into your acct. info online and add a phone yourself. Some places use to charge to reactivate a phone but this way it's free and you can buy and upgrade all year yourself if you wanted to. OR you can wait another 8 mos and still get the free upgrade to another phone(alot of times they do this before the 2 year period) Hope this helps!
  5. I'm thinking this is an in person only, I did email so will post an update if it's not. ~J~:)

  7. Just got an invite for this fairly new survey site...for those of you familiar with WRInsiders, for kids, this looks like it's maybe a take off from that, but it's for adults! They've got adult rewards and kids rewards, and we all love our GC's! Here's the link:

  8. does anyone know what's in the "welcome tote"?

also, if you know someone with a costco membership, have them buy costco gift cards for you...that way you don't need a membership, since you can use the gift cards withOUT the membership

Really??? Not needing a membership, but can use the costco cash cards there...HHmmmm, anyone else know about this? I've always known it to be you HAVE to have a membership, and they DO NOT give guest passes...period!

Unless things have changed, or maybe just specific areas???That could be too....

  9. We have GH2 and GH 3 and Rockband for the XBOX 360. Our friends have the Wii version of GH 3 and often complain about the loud guitar string sound when they play because the controller of the Wii slips into the grooves on the front of the guitar, it's much louder and irritating when you miss notes. They seem to like our X360 version guitars better. Also there's no online play for the Wii against others online, and no extra guitars to buy yet. We bought my nephew a GH2 for his PS2 and he loves it! There's extra guitars available, and they've already gotton him an extra for his friends to play together. That's the thing, once you start playing you don't want to share! At least w/ 2 guitars you can both play nicely! Also am not sure if he can play online, as he doesn't have the Broadband capabilities...but another thing to check. Like I said we have them all for the XBOX 360, and also play online!

OH...and one more note, you should buy from somewhere like Best Buy, and get the extended warranty, it's good for 2 extra years, and if you have any problem, box it up and exchange it! There are known guitar issues, so it makes it well worth the extra $20.00 bucks for the extended warranty. Good luck and have fun!
