My dd (15) had a dog and lady bug pillow pet and really wants the moose one - just got it for her this year yesterday. Ds has a dog too and I bought him a Philly Phinatic one for Christmas this year. Me, a grown adult has the Pluto & Tigger ones, but sshhh - don't tell anyone!

Just wanted to post and let everyone know that I was able to get Black Friday prices today online and apply my 15% off code too with absolutely no problems. I spent over $75 and received free shipping too. Lastly, got a separate email with my Kohls Cash certificate! Couldn't of been any easier and I don't have to be at the store at 3am to get what I want. www.kohls.com Happy Shopping!

Try ebay, you can buy jerseys on there NWT and get off cheaper in you are willing to go with a screen print as opposed to sewn. My ds always wants jerseys that don't seem to sell around here and ebay has always been my go to.

Just thought that I'd throw out there that the Disney Store Outlet at Jackson Outlets in NJ will open at 12am. They are running 20% the entire store midnight - 10am. I think if they are at other Premium Outlet locations, that it might be 12am also - you might want to check.

My dd just turned 11 in Sept and here is some of the stuff that I am getting her Christmas this yr: Eddie Bauer sleeping bag - she has definitely outgrown her princess sleeping bag Crocs - Mammouth cotton candy color sweater from Limited Too Aeropostale sweatshirt - this store is big with the tweens. Most are getting to be big enough to wear stuff from here, My dd only fits into their S sweatshirt. Fleece pants from Old Navy Legally Blonde 1 & 2 Movie - bought together at Target She wants some game called Whoonu - it's a Cranium game and I found it at Target, just need to go buy. Another thing to consider if she has pierced ears. I bought diamond earrings for her from Kohls on BF. They were the tiny little chips and they were like $29.99. They would look ridiculously small on an adult, but they are proportioned just right for a tween girl. she loves them! I have some other stuff to get, but it is all gymnastics stuff, she is a competitive gymnast, so I am getting her an extra pair of grips and some achievement pins - yadda, yadda, yadda. Hope this helps some....

I agree with PPs, a $40 sweater from Limited Too is a gift! DD also wants Aeropostale sweatshirts (the only thing in the store that fits her - she's 11) They will be in a box and wrapped. Also, I have a real backwards 6yr old ds that wants football jerseys - well at $55 a pop, yeah that's a gift as well. Problem is he doesn't have a favorite team. He told me the 3 teams he doesn't want and would be very happy to open 10-15 boxes filled with the other teams jerseys. Not happening, but he will get a couple/few. I already got a Vikings Jersey. Clothes though are usually from Mom & Dad, not Santa (except maybe the NFL Jersey - one of them!)

I have done some research on cell phones because I am debating on getting one for my dd (10). One thing to consider with Firefly (which I really loved) and T-Mobile pay-as-you-go phone. Both of these phones the minutes expire if not used in like 90 days. I have Virgin pay as you go because I only use my phone for emergencies and couldn't stand forking out money for a plan every month when I may not even have used the phone. With Virgin, your money/minutes never expire as long as you continue to top-up (as they call it, basically put more money on your phone) every 90 days. The minimum that you have to top-up is $20 every 90 days. If you set up a re-occurring account with Virgin online you only have to put on a minimum of $15 every 90 days or it will autmatically add $15 before the 90 days if your balance goes below something like $5. I have to say that I loved the hardware of the firefly and the t-mobile phone, but didn't want to waste my money if the minutes weren't used. We will be going with the Virgin Mobile. Just thought I'd let others know what I found while doing my research.

We have Pooh bear dressed as an angel on the top of the tree. Can't wait to put the tree up Thanksgiving weekend.

Thanks. I have been scanning the ads, but haven't come across one yet. I will go look at the CC ad now. Thanks again!

I am hoping that someone will be able to help me. I am looking for any deals that any store has on a dual portable DVD player. I guess that I would be happy with either a dual one that has 2 screens and can play 2 seperate movies or even a portable with 2 screens but can only play the same movie. Anybody see anything like this for on BF. Thanks for the help!

My dd just graduated from doing the Christmas play at her school since it is performed by the K-4, she will be doing the Spring play (5-8), but this year ds is in K so we have 5 more years of going to the Christmas play. Christmas may be a taboo word in public school, but we catholic schools thrive on the word and meaning (the play is very religous) and my kids school puts on a fabulous play, it is truly hard to believe that it is put on by K-4. I can't wait to see the K's perform. They normally get a couple of songs that they do in a row and it is so cute to watch. The play is so good that it begins at 7:30, but they open the doors at 6:30 and most people come line up around 6pm to get a good seat (we're in NJ, so it can be cold waiting to get in there). They have a dress rehersal that is open to adults to come see, they perform for 2 nights and the also do a matinee show after the 2 nights.

I got the DS bundle for my ds for Christmas and I was talking to the sales people and they told me that the DS Dalmations game was going to be a "hot" item this and that it came with a free case at the moment, so I bought it. They had about 20 of them at the store and they said that they might get 1 more shipment of the Dalmations game and that would probably be it. I'm glad I got it when I did. This is a fairly large TRU and does a lot of business, so I'm glad I got it when I did. I did ask about the pre-order of the Wii happening on 10/29, they didn't know about it, but they did say that they talked to the Nintendo sales person and that he feels that getting the Wii this holiday season will not be an issue. We'll see, I'd still feel better if I could get a pre-order.

I do. Dd is now in 5th grade and I have stuff from when she was 18 months old and made stuff at day care. I also have stuff from ds, he's now 5. I love hanging all of it up throughout the house. It gives the house a homey feel.

I had a tiff last year while waiting in line to get my layaway out of WalMart - that line can be hell to wait in. Realize that I am 5'3" about 145#, the woman tried to cut in front of me as I was next (one line feeding into 2 registers) she was taller and much, much wider. I stepped up and said that I was next and she kept saying things like you're lucky I'm in a good mood and crap like that. I kept saying I don't care what mood your in, I'm next and you are not going. She gave me the stare as I did back. Let's face it, she might sit on me and hurt me or my try to hit me, but she'd only be ruining her kids' holiday because I'd have her arrested for assault. I won't fight physically, but I'll be damned if she thinks she could intimidate me with words. I don't think so honey - step back! I'll go word for word, but I won't fight physically, I'm a grown woman now, c'mon.

Ok, I have bought more stuff! To add to ds'd hand held Deal or No Deal, I bought him the Chip-N-Dale cartoon DVD this past weekend at Toys R U for $5. I also bought him 2 more sing-along Disney DVDs for $5 ea, don't know if they will be presents or whatever. I also got (2) long sleeve t-shirts from Target that had a soccer theme. I pre-ordered Cars for him from familyvideo.com, as a new member there is a code to get $5 off, standard shipping is $.99, so my final price was $11 and change. Got Super Mario Strikers for both kids at Circuit City for $24 for Game Cube. For dd, she is a little older and her stuff is more expensive and not really on sale. I do plan to pick up the Deal or No Deal electronic board game for her this weekend with the Friends and Family 20% off card for Toys R Us.

Selected Premium Outlets to be Open at 12!! <merged>
carone0318 replied to rogue1230's topic in 2006
I'm by the Jackson, NJ outlets. Now if they would just have a Friends & Family coupon for the Bass Outlet I'd have a reason to go. I'm keep my eyes open. The last Friends and Family for Bass was Sept and they said that the Friends and Family for the other Van Heusen stores would be in Oct. -
I bake stuff for co-workers. Last year I made rocky road fudge, Christmas bark and spiced nuts. I will probably do the same thing this year. I really would prefer to do nothing for most of them (because they are social rejects), but I keep the Christmas spirit, suck it up and hand my baggies out with a smile!

I got one gift for ds (5), I got him the hand held Deal or No Deal game. That's it! Nothing for dd (10) and nothing else for ds. We are only doing gifts from Santa this year, because our gift to them is a Disney trip for a long weekend a few weeks before Christmas.

Mummers are a Philadelphia thing, there is even a Mummers Museum. It is taken very seriously! The parade is on tv (all day long - I am not exaggerating.) I am really not into them, but my mom is and I have been exposed to them all my life - doing my best not to have to watch them. There are the fancy brigades, the string bands and there could be others. Think of it like it's a marching band made up of men (usually), some women too and they dress in these elaborate costumes and put together routines to music and compete amongst each other. The string bands do routines too, but play their own music. They do declare winners, not sure of what the prizes, but definitely bragging rights! Usually the troops tend to drink, some more than others and seem to have a great time. The parade last all day long and it is sort of like a huge party!

I always go it alone, no one wants to go with me. Actually I prefer this too. I drop the dead weight and don't have to worry about looking at something I have no intention of buying. Last yr, dd had a soccer tournament that started on BF. Her game was at 9am, I was up and out at around 4:30, went to about 6 stores, did what I had planned to do and was sitting at the game by about 8:45 and that included stopping to get something to eat to bring with me. I could of never have done that if I has someone with me. For Christmas last yr I got an ipod, so this yr will be great. I will just put on my ipod and listen to music while I wait in line. It will be nice to flush out all the "noise!"

If you have a Lenox Warehouse/Outlet store near you, you can check there because Dept 56 now owns Lenox. My dh works for Lenox and he was visiting the Lenox warehouse/outlet place in Cranbury NJ and he said that they had the Halloween villages there, so it is possible that they would have the Christmas one too. (I'm looking for the Halloween village!) My Christmas village is the Disney one from a couple years back. Good luck!

Are you sure that the company name wasn't Grolier? That is the name of the company that did the monthly ornament things a few years back that we bought from, the ornaments were $12.95 each.

We'll either go to our best friends house or they will come to ours. We all have small kids, so that is the easiest thing to do. We eat really good that night and might drink some. My oldest - dd (9) - she will go spend the night at her gymnastics club, she has the best time, but I have to be there to pick her up by 8am (yikes ) so not too much drinking on my end!
