  1. For anyone looking for a TV, the Sony KDL-52NX800 on the cover of the AAFES Black Friday ad is a great deal at $1500 for one of Sony's best non-3D HDTVs. The spec sheet for that TV is available here: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=KDL52NX800 http://www.docs.sony.com/release/specs/KDL52NX800_mksp.pdf Also, the AAFES Black Friday ad can be viewed here: ht tp://aafes.imirus.com/Mpowered/book/vafs10/i77/p1
  2. For anyone interested, aafes.com has their flyers now: WEEK 76 Friday After (November 24th) wk76.pdf WEEK 77 Saturday After (November 25th) wk77.pdf WEEK 78 Sunday After (November 26th) wk78.pdf WEEK 48 SALE FLYER (Nov. 24th - Nov. 30th) wk48.pdf
  3. Fort Benning, GA. I'm pretty sure the 12:01am time is official, because a few people have asked me if I'm going to be working then.
  4. http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/Sales/Store/militarybx/Category/all/Rebates/yes/EarlyBirds/yes/Page/3 "Sony CyberShot 6MP Digital Camera $135.00" Just wanted to let everyone know that that camera is probably the DSC-S500. SONY Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera DSC-S500 * 6.0 Megapixel Super HAD CCD for cropping and big prints * 3X Optical/2X Digital Zoom to bring subjects closer * Optional Memory Stick Duo media recording * Large 2.4" LCD Screen for shooting and sharing * Cyber-shot Viewer software for PC thumbnail viewing http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=DSCS500&LOC=3 http://www.sonystyle.com/intershoproot/eCS/Store/en/imagesProducts/650x650/DSCS500.jpg A decent camera, but nothing to write home about.
  5. I'm not sure if this is nationwide, but my local AAFES PX is going to be open at midnight on Friday morning.
  6. http://images.crossmediaservices.com/dyn_rppi/592.0.90.0/circuitcity/large/051127_35_jo4ai.jpg Looks like Circuit City does have it for $39.99 this week
  7. I remember using a coupon like that last year without any problems. I printed it out on matte paper, so it looked nice, but I'm sure printing it on regular paper would be fine, too.
  8. Under $100 for a 4 megapixel camera? That can't be a very good camera. I'd rather have a decent quaility 3 megapixel camera, than a low quality 4 megapixel one. If you want a camera that can print 8x10 photos from, then buy one with as high a megapixel range as you can and just do any cleanup of the images on the computer before you print. If you're only going to be printing 4x6 photos, then you would probably be better off with a nice 3.2 megapixel camera.
  9. http://www.cbs.com/specials/rudolph/ I think the commercial said something about it being shown in high definition. I don't have a HDTV, but I wonder how good it will look.
  10. Let's see: Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) Garfield Christmas (1987) Claymation Christmas (1987) Christmas Carol (1999) I think those are the only ones I'm going to plan on watching this year. If something else airs on TV during December, I might watch it as well. Nitpicking the OP: why write X-Mas? I've never heard anyone say Christ-Mas before? (How would you say that anyway? Christ "moss"? Christ "mass"?) I think the correct way to write it would be Christmas or (for those who like Greek) Xmas. I guess I just sometimes think about how a post would sound if read aloud.
  11. If I remember correctly, SDTV is 480i, EDTV is 480p, and HDTV is 720p & 1080i (maybe 1080p as well). Regular DVDs use a resolution of 720x480, so 480p is fine. In general, HDTV is supposed to look better than a DVD because it uses 720p or 1080i.
  12. I sell printers at Best Buy and I'll be there Friday 9am-3pm Saturday 11am-5pm Sunday 1pm-5pm Is anyone else here working at a store this weekend? Bestbuy7, are you one of the guys who has to go in an hour before the store opens and then work like 10 hours or something?

  14. RossMAN, when you talked about signature sizes being too big, did you mean physical size (mine was 480 x 160) or file size (16k)? I usually try to keep sig pics on forums at a limit of around 400x200 100k, so I guess 480 might stretch the screen a little bit for people using 800x600.
