  1. I decided to download the app and order on there.....it worked!!!!

Then I called and cancelled the first order. Customer service was very quick and very friendly! She said they are definitely having some trouble with the website this morning from desktops/laptops. The apps seem to be working fine.

  2. Their website is not working correctly on the women's Columbia fleece jackets. I just realized that I bought 2 of the same color....not even colors that I wanted. So now I have two jackets being shipped to me in the Oceanic color. I wanted different ones....it didn't say they were out of stock when I selected them. Ugh. Maybe I can exchange them at the store. However, after BF they will probably be all out for a while.

  3. Amazon currently  has Disney Infinity for the Wii U for $59.95. That's a decent price but I'm wondering if I will find it cheaper on Black Friday (and actually be able to score it).

Skylanders Swap Force seems to be more pricey at $74.96. I'm really hoping to find that cheaper.

What do you guys think?  Do you think they'll be any cheaper any time soon? Maybe Black Friday? Although, I know these are hot items and the masses will also be hoping to catch them on sale as well. So I'm not sure I'd actually be able to get my  hands on one. I was hoping to only have to buy one, but my 9 year old wants Infinity and my 6 year old wants Swap Force. Ugh LOL.

  4. No flaming from me, Christus! Unless you put your kid in a carseat in a cart that takes up space in the aisles! :D (In all serious, I cringe when I see a babyseat in a cart on BF...a few years ago I saw one fall over as people were trying to get into the store. The baby was buckled (luckily), but the ambulance was called and the mother was hysterical. Not a good scene to see. :( )

Oh no, definitely not a cart LOL! The crowds can get a little tight and I'm afraid someone would try to squeeze by the cart and tip it over. Either in the sling or in a stroller (when they are getting too heavy for the sling).

  5. I'll be the one that people flame. ;) I take my kids when they are like 3 and under. Last year I was the one waiting in the Barbie line at WalMart at midnight with my 3 week old snug and asleep in my sling. I'm not sure where everyone lives, but I've been Black Friday shopping for about ten years now and have never EVER seen any sort of fight. In fact, last year when I had my newborn with me, I had people (strangers) reaching in and handing me back Barbie dolls. Everyone is nice and chatty, trying to stay awake in the wee hours of the night.

I also have an 8 and 5 year old, but I leave them home with their daddy....only because I'm usually shopping for them. Three and under and my babies go with me. I'm very pro attachment parenting.

I say do what you think is best for your daughter....you know her.

  6. Last year I got my 2 kids an iPod Touch each (they were 2 and 5 years old then). It's one of the best gifts we've ever gotten them! I limit their time using them, but I do let them use them in the car, on long trips, and sometimes late at night to settle down.

Before giving it to them, I loaded them up with their favorite kids songs, kids games, home videos, their favorite TV shows, a movie or two, family photos from their birthdays and family events, etc. They absolutely love them. For their birthday they got an iTunes gift card and I help them choose downloads to put on there. I also got them a screen protector and nice silicone case for protection and I put those on before I wrapped it.

They absolutely LOVE their iPod Touches. They've been dropped, etc, and hold up well! No Leapster or Nintendo DS's for us!

  7. Pretty much any traditional toy that you can find at Target, WalMart, Toys R Us, etc. I am in the process of doing a thorough cleaning of my kids playroom. Everything that they do not use seems to be things that move/talk/make noise/electronic/etc. Most of that stuff is all going to the garage sale I'm having soon. I'm buying more "non-traditional" toys this year, with the exception of a few of the new Fisher Price Animalville sets since my 2 year old loves Little People. I plan on getting a domino race set, some Keva planks, lots of crafts for my creative 5 year old....stuff like that. Now to just steer the grandparents away from those toys that end up in the "garage sale" box a few months down the road.
