I haven't seen the ads. I've just seen commercials and heard on the radio and all they say is stores open at 10PM. Wasn't planning on going there but was just surprised about this. No idea how they're planning on managing this in the stores...

Did anyone else hear this rumor? Or maybe it's confirmed. Walmarts are opening at 10PM but you can't buy electronics until Midnight? If that's true, there's going to be riots at the stores as I've not seen or heard this advertised at all..

Hmm, I swear I posted a reply to this. Don't know where it went... Anyway, I know what the processor is for. I'm mainly just looking to know how this compares to the Celeron M in the Toshiba that we have now (linked in the OP). I don't know anything about the AMD E-300. I know it's an entry level Laptop but so is the Toshiba we have. Difference is, the Toshiba was entry level 5-7 years ago. So would thins "Entry level" laptop still be leaps and bounds ahead of the Toshiba we have now? I don't want to buy it if it won't get me anything, but I would buy it if we'll see definite improvement.

So what is everyone's thoughts on this laptop. Can't not at least give it a glance for $180. My wife needs a new laptop as hers is pretty old. She currently has a Toshia A135-S2246 and I'm just wondering if this would be much of an upgrade. I don't know anything about the AMD processors to know what this is comparable to. Here current one has specs listed here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834114305 It lists an Intel Celeron M 430(1.73GHz) and I've upgraded it to 2 gigs of RAM. The Lenovo one lists an E-300 processor but I don't really know what that means. If anyone has any thoughts about this, let me know. Her current laptop has just gotten very slow since it's pretty old these days. Thanks.

And apparently all the stores do it a little differently. Best bet is to call your store a day or two before and talk to someone that knows how they're going ot be handling things.

Well, if anyone is going to Best Buy and NOT getting this tablet and wants to pick one up for me, let me know. heh heh. We have Thanksgiving dinner form 4-6 so the earliest I could even get to a Best BUy would be like 6:30. And somehow I think the lines will be pretty freaking long by that time... I'm trying to use some inside connections I have but am not sure if they'll be able to come through for me.

I'm just worried how early people will be waiting in line this year since they open at midnight. We won't be done with our dinner until probably 6 so I"m sure I'll be pretty SOL. ONly thing I really want is the Asus EEE tablet so not sure how huge of a draw that item will be to know if I'll have a chance.

Does Amazon just match on their normal site or do you have to call Amazon to ask? That'd be cool to just buy it online but I'll probably have to go to a store anyway to be safe.

I've been waiting for someone to put something like this on sale. My budget is around $200 but I don't want a little 7" tablet. I can up my budget to $250 for this. Now I have to find an inside contact who can stash one away for me so I don't have to miss out. heh. Is BB opening at Midnight? Can just go over and hang watching movies on my phone for a few hours if I have to.

Finally a store has a nice tablet on sale. Anyone know anything about this? Any chance we could get some dedicated categories for the main, big ticket items so we can view them without all the other accessories and crap in the same general category? Mainly I want to click a link to view all the LAPTOP deals across all the stores. I don't want to see desktops, don't want blank DVDs, don't want Hard Drives, etc.. Just the laptops. Same with just seeing LCD TVs, same with just Desktops, etc. The "Computer" category is way too general and cluttered to really be useful... Any thoughts? EDIT: I know we have the threads up above to DISCUSS all the laptop deals, but that still doesn't help me SEE what all the laptop deals are to know what to discuss... Maybe have that main thread in each Discussion section get updated to show al the deals every time something new is added?

Best thing to do is go shopping on Wednesday and buy everything. Then you can PM it on BF. I do this all the time and have never had a problem. Sometime stores like BestBuy threaten that they won't PM stuff but you can just say fine, then return it and I'll rebuy it. If you are nice about it and act that you had no idea it was going to be on sale, then you usually don't have a problem. Also at bigger stores, shop quiockly because sometimes the lines just to check out can be hours long.

Even if they won't let you price match, they have to let you return the one you bought and then just rebuy it at the sale price. You aren't doing anything illegal. And I've bought stuff at Best Buy before and PMd it the day of and never had a problem with anything. But that hasn't been the last couple years. Or bring your receipt with you and buy a new one at BF prices, then walk right over to the return counter and return it with the receipt from today.

I went to Staples first 2 years ago when they had the 17" LCD for $150 or so. There were people waiting outside but not all that many. No where even close to Best BUy numbers. All the peopel that don't know any better just go riht to Best Buy or something like that for the electronics. THing is, OD, OM, and Staples lots of times have even better deals but people don't think to look in their ads.

There is a $3 limit on DVDs and CDs. I don't know if Software applies to that as well or not though.

Was watching them orning news and they just had a mini blurb about gottadeal.com and the other main site. Only for a few seconds but I'm sure they'll repeat it throughout the day. :)

Gotta keep an eye on that though. We did that a few weeks ago when for every $50 you spent you get a $10 g/c or something. But the g/c expired within a week and they don't bother telling you that. Wife went to use it yesterday and couldn't. So we're returning all the stuff we bought just to get those...

So let's say you can only get to one store and can only get to one item before everything will be sold out. What's your ONE items that you just Have to Have on BF. I don't know that I'll be heading out this year since I'm not needing any major upgrades, but the $4 movies are always nice.

Only time I went out easrly was 2 years ago when OM had a 17" (or was it 19") LCD monitor for like $170. and Best Buy had a DVD Burner for like $40. BOth were incredibly cheap at the time. Normally I just go a week or two before and then PM the day of, or just go later and see what's left.
