  1. Just got back home from CC in Sterling, VA. It was a nice, orderly line...I got there at 1AM eastern. I was about 30th. Some people had been there since 830PM ! About 3AM the CC people come out and start handing out maps of the store and photocopied 1-page flyers of the high profile items. People in line think they are handing out vouchers so everyone bunches up. When they realize they are not vouchers, the bunching subsides and the line re-forms. At 4AM, some d*uchebag from CC comes out and says there are No Vouchers and that it will be who ever get the items first. Immediately the entire line collapses with people climbing over the folding chairs the really-early birds had set up. There are now 100 people crammed in front of the doors with 1 hour to go. My first thought, is stampede and trampling. I waited in the bunched of group of people about 10 minutes then said screw it. Even if I did get a laptop, getting the router and printer and paying would be a disaster. Bottom line, CC took a FAIR and ORDERLY system and turned it into a pushing and shoving match. Nice job, Sterling, VA CC. Won't be shopping there again.
  2. Regarding the SD Card, look for my eBay auctions some time next week!
  3. D'oh! Looks like the SD cards are all snatched up! CompactFlash cards still are available...for now! To get an SD card, looks like you'll have to wait in line. Sorry to those non-east coasters who will awake to find many sale items gone.
  4. The Memory Cards have a limit of 5 for the rebate (you can buy as many as you want at full price :) ). Here is the link to the rebate that says limit 5 per type per customer. www . circuitcity . com/ccd/RebateDetails.do?oid=140022 The "-"R DVDs are here: www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=124094 The "+"R DVDs are here: www.circuitcity.com/ssm/NexxTech-DVD-Rs-EDVDPR8X50PK-/sem/rpsm/oid/124092/catOid/-13012/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
  5. The rebate links in my confirmation email didn't work either. Just go back to the item on the CC site and click "Rebate Details" for the forms.
  6. Woo! Just went online at CC and racked up. Got my limit of 5 512 SD cards and 5 512 CompactFlash cards at $9.99AR. I also picked up the 512MB Cruzer Micro USB drive at $14.99AR and 2 of the 50-pack DVD-R at $6.99. I wasn't planning on buying a digital camera, but they had the Casio Exilim EX-Z50 at $199.99. I have a two-year old EX-Z4 that I love but the wife has dropped it a couple times and it is starting to fritz out! Summary::: nearly everything in the CC BF ad is available online. Much easier than waiting in line in the cold. However, I'll still be out there tomorrow for the laptop.
