  1. Is it ethical? I would say no. Is it smart? Sure. If people are willing to pay, go crazy.
  2. My last Sirius radio died - kind of happens when you accidentally drop it getting out of the car. I just bought the $23.84 model from Walmart as the replacement. I like the unit, it is the Xact Communication Visor Satellite Radio. For reviews on the unit, go to Amazon.com. But for the purchase, definitely go to Walmart. Amazon has it for $45.99, twice what Walmart is selling it for.
  3. Go with Marcster's idea, go with a flash drive. They are getting larger and cheaper. Here's a few: http://image.compusa.com/prodimages/55/cc2750d7-356a-426a-8048-32764f693fbb.gif Connect Computers USB Flash Drive, 2 GB $34.99 compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=cat3&product_code=341226&Pn=USB_Flash_Drive http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/ProductImageCompressAll200/20-211-226-03.jpg A-DATA My Flash 2GB Flash Media Model PD2-G20 $31.99 newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820211226
  4. Before you buy this one, read the reviews from other people. Not what the picture says......, October 10, 2005 I bought this set a week ago and that time there were no reviews.....I wish there were......... First of all the comforter I received is totally different from what is there in the picture.....its very dull in color...as the other reviewer said the gold color in it is very dullish and looks boring......quality is like any other regular $50 - 70 dollar comforter. I bought it because it looked very vibrant in the picture and more than that Amazon said that the retial price is $500 and there is a big discount on it. I was literally fooled in to this deal. I think amazon blew up the price only to fool us in to believing that this is a good deal at $70 price......... no sane person in this world will pay $500 for this set. P.S it is just like a regular cheap looking comforter....DONT BUY IT if u appreciate quality and value......u can find a better comforter at your local Target or walmart store and at a better price than this. This was my first bad experience with amazon, now I need to figure out how to ship this big fat ugly looking stuff back to them. Don't be fooled into buying this...., October 14, 2005 What a terrible quilt. I don't even think it deserves 1 star. The colors are dull and the border of the quilt doesn't even match the rest of the quilt. I could get better quality at a discount store. The worst thing is that even though Amazon allows you to ship back to them with only a label, what they don't tell you is the cost will be deducted from your refund. The picture was false advertising.....DO NOT BUY THIS!! I wish there had been reviews before I bought it.
  5. Well, I thought I would chime in on this discussion. I have had Sirius since December 2004. I received it as a gift for Christmas the month after Howard Stern announced that he would be going to Sirius - which helped me decide which satellite service I was going to get. For the full first year of having Sirius prior to Stern coming over, I kept asking myself how I could live without satellite radio. Besides Stern, Sirius has every NFL game. So, if you are a Steelers fan living in New England, like me, you can listen to the Steelers game every week. Here's the neat trick, every NFL game is broadcast on 2 channels. One channel is for the announcers for the Home team and one channel is for the announcers for the Away team. So, if you are on the road, you can still listen to your hometown announcers anywhere in the country. The music is varied and is pretty good. no matter what taste you have in music, you will find something you will like. From classic rock to alternative to metal to old school rap to country to jazz to classical, it is all there for you. And, ALL of the music is commercial free. The talk channels are the channels that have commercials. I did not go crazy buying an expensive receiver - I have the SR-1. it is the model that looks like a radar detector. It is small and can hideaway almost anywhere. If you are stuck in an office for half the day like me, you can listen to all of the music online, along with the Howard Stern show. As for fees, the regular subscription is $12.95 per month. I purchased the lifetime subscription is $500, which is what I bought. If you are subscribing to Sirius for Howard Stern, this is the plan to buy. He is signed up for 5 years and the lifetime subscription pays for itself in just over 3 years. And the rumors of the rates going up are just that - rumors. Sirius has no reason to raise rates. Since January 2006 to now, the subscriber level has gone from 510,000 to 5.1 million. They have gone from a gross revenue of $6.6 million per month in January 2006 to $66 million per month now. Go Steelers
  6. I have had good experiences in the past at Compusa. The most specific that isn't Black Friday related, but was close to it took place back in 1998. Let's all enter the Wayback machine for a minute. I had visited my parents for a week and after 3 or 4 days I was ready to snap and go on a murderous rampage. I informed them I had to leave or we would all be on the evening news. I hit the road and got home around 3pm on a Saturday (or Friday, who knows, its been 6 years). I grabbed the local paper and saw that CompUsa was having a midnight madness sale. The main sale item was a $98 computer to celebrate the release of Windows 98. I drove down to the closest CompUsa and arrived around 6PM. There were already 6 people hanging out. I walked up to them and asked what they were waiting for; they all said the $98 computer. Needless to say, I became person number 7. Thank goodness it was summertime and everyone was friendly. I learned how to play backgammon while waiting 6 hours. I walked out of CompUsa at 12:15AM with a brand new computer for $98 - which was beyond dirt cheap in 1998. That computer lasted me a good 4 or 5 years. My next computer was the first EMachines that was offered for free if you signed up for 3 years of internet through MSN. Ah, the good old days - well CompUsa at least. Go Steelers.
