One of the associates at my Best Buy said people are talking about getting there at midnight, so I'm thinking about 11:00-ish. No later than midnight.

I recieved the ad in the mail today, and it's higher than what the flyers are saying. MAKES SENSE TO ME!

I keep refreshing to see what kind of new info is on here. First thing I do when I wake up is.. GOTTA CHECK THE FORUMS!

I asked a lady at my Best Buy about the camera, she told me they didn't have it now, and when I told her about the sales, she said if it's in the paper, they'll have it Friday.

Talked to one of the guys there, he said he's hearing people saying they are going to be in line at midnight, so midnight it is for me. They are doing the tickets(of course) first come, first serve.
The lady with the digital cameras STILL won't tell me what I want to hear. I asked her, "So, any C360?" She told me they didn't have any at the moment. I said, "Well, if you have them advertised for Friday, will you have them?" She said, "Are they being advertised?" I told her online they were. She sort of grinned, and nudged me and said, "Well if they are online, I suppose we'll have them.. you know more then I do!". So my safest assumption is that they will have them.
I did a count on things. I counted 19 of the 27"Magnavox TV's. 20-ish of the 20" Insignia TV's. and NINE of the computers. They unplugged the display monitor, and I noticed one was magically gone off the display shelves and it's info was covered it. They had about 30 of the Insignia TV DVD combos.
I also wanted to mention this.. if you plan on buying the Kodak cameras, they have this little set sold seperately that includes a Kodak carrying case, backup rechargable batteries, AND the recharger to chage them for $40.00. I'm considering getting that too, or just putting it on my Christmas list.
Oh, and the DVD box sets. Looks like Friends, Sex and the City, West Wing, and they were still setting up more DVD displays but that's all I could see for that one.

haha, thanks! At first I was planning on taking my gigantic purse, but I quickly changed my mind. I have this itsy bitsy little (can't even be called a purse it's so small..) bag that's big enough to hold my cellphone and car keys in the front, and cash zipped up in the back. I can wear it across me so I can hide it under my jacket, and hopefully not be seen.

Wouldn't it be better to use a credit card on the big purchases?
It's not technically a credit card, it's coming out of my (newly) opened bank account. So say I have $500 in there, and I go and spend $250 automatically at Best Buy. The bank is already sending out their money, but until Best Buy's bank is sure they have it, it's going to hold it too and look like I've spent all of my $500. ..Atleast that's how they explained it to me.
Yes, it is better to use it on big purchases, IF you have enough money to cover it.

I would have used my Visa bank check card, but they told me for major purchases, it's better to go with cash. Big stores have three day holds, so it'll hold my money, and take my money and make it look like I've overdrawn. So I'll be visiting the ATM before I go.

Instead of carrying my gigantic purse, I'm taking this little purse that I can hide underneath my jacket, it's REALLY small, just big enough to hold my cell phone, my key to my car, and my cash and check card zipped up in the back.

I'm just sitting here thinking.. if for some reason I don't like the camera I'm going to buy, will I be able to return it like any other day?

At first I was planning on about 2am, now I plan on going around midnight-ish to see if there are any people around, and just sticking around the area till a couple people show up.

I'll be taking about $250 with me. Hopefully I'll have a little left over though.

If you have enough to let each person spend up to $5000, why do you care about sales? What's an extra $100 here or there, to get to sleep in and avoid the crowds? I'm going because I don't have much $$$, and need to spread it as far as it will go.

Im a believer that you should go super early and if anything, sit out in the car w/ the heater blaring until people start rolling in. Then hurry to form a line.
That's sort of my plan. I don't want to be the first one in line, for safety reasons, so I'll wait around and as soon as I see a few people, I'll join in. As long as I'm in the first 15, I'll be happy.

If they have it in their ad they have to have on the day they say they will have it, otherwise they can get in trouble for bait and switch

Okay, so I went back to check it out to see if this is the camera I really want, and the camera I'm going to camp out for. Well turns out the one I was looking at the other night isn't the C360 and I asked an associate if they had one on display, and they told me they did not sell that model there.
Okay, just because they don't sell it there, should I start getting worried? Or will they definitely have this model at the store on Black Friday?
