  1. The Panasonic model is really nice. I'm shopping around for it right now. I've compared the Panasonic EDTV to lesser model and equal model EDTVs and there is no comparison. IMHO, the Panasonic EDTV has a much better picture than even some of the bottom of the line plasma model HDTVs. In terms of EDTVs, the Panasonic is the best I've seen. Now the problem is, how do I coax myself into spending the $2000 on it? As for which is better, well some people want a 42" flat panel with a good picture for a cheap price. Obviously something has to give, and it's most likely that it won't be a HDTV model. HDTV in most cases is superior in picture quality, but is very expensive and still out of the reach for many of us. The EDTV is some cases (like the Panasonic), offers us who don't have $2500+ to spend an excellent picture without the expense and thrills of HDTV.
  2. How is the Sylvania 6842PEM 42" Flat-Panel EDTV Plasma TV for $1148, which includes a 3 year extended warrenty service plan?
  3. If anyone happens to be on here at this time, according to the Walmart website - it is now in stock but " Not Available at this time" Also note this appeared too: "This item is being discontinued. Availability is limited."
  4. I read though another forums where some of the members owned the Viore Plasma TV, and they were very mixed about it. For some it was flawless and ran great, but for others it played like crap and/or it totaly dropped dead on them. That was enough for me to decide against buying it. I'll hold off for now on buying a plasma TV for now.
  5. I'm curious about this too. Also, how are plasma screen TVs, I hate the idea of dropping $1000+ on a TV that will burn out in 3 years.
