  1. OK, I got one, but I have a question. When I was unhooking the DVD player from the old TV to put it into the new one, I noticed there are only 2 inputs. What up wid dat?? lol- is this TV not able to have a DVD player hooked up to it, or is there some kind of adapter I need??
  2. Mine (Laguna, CA) tried to tell me they don't pricematch- I set her strait:yup:

They pulled Prison Break- the guy was like 'It was here yesterday....." then I guess he realized he pretty much told me that they pulled it. Bastards. I still got them to pm 3 CD's from 14.99 to 5.99 (CC), and 2 Bratz dolls (14.99 to 9.00 at Target).

  3. I just finished looking over the bf ad and I think Target will be my first stop this year. They have some GREAT deals! Especially love those prices on the sheets! :D

I didn't see any doorbusters- but the Barbie house is now on my list....

  4. To Everyone:

We are having nothing but problems with discussions of reselling, eBay, and the like.

We're too busy trying to post the ads and the deals for you guys to have to continue to deal with the drama from all of this.

As such, no discussion of reselling of Elmos, PS3s, Wiis, or any other item will be permitted anywhere on the board. All such posts and threads will be deleted, and from here on out violators are subject to being banned.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

  5. Possible, but I like a line at 4PM a whole lot better than 4AM.

I doubt that you will be able to get the BF price at 4pm. You would only be able to get it during the BF hours- if you are talking about doorbusters with limited hours.....

  6. ok guys, I am new to this whole BF, I am trying to be brave and try it this year. So how would this BF price match work? Do you shop for stuff day before and the go to the different (same) store on BF and ask to price match on that item?

No. You buy what you want at Walmart- stuff that you see advertised at other stores for a cheaper price. For example- you see a Bratz doll advertised at KB Toys for cheaper than Walmart has it. You bring the doll and the ad from KB to the register, and they give you the KB price. You can do that with anything that Walmart has- that another place has cheaper.:D

  7. My best price matching story is from about 4-5 years ago. This was when Toys r us was still PM'ing. My kids were all little, so TRU was pretty much it for me. I got all the ads, made my list, cross referenced the ads with the TRU prices vs. Kaybee, WM, etc.

I had Barbies, GI Joes, Barbie clothing, action heros, wrestlers, video games- seriously, my list was 2 pages long and my cart was overflowing. I waited in line, and when I got up there with my binder, the guy looked like he was going to cry. Every single item I had was going to be pricematched. He went with the first couple of items, then said "Tell you what. You hand me the item, and tell me how much". I did have some questionable items in there- for instance, Barbie clothes that weren't exactly pictured in the ad, GI Joes that I wasn't sure about...but as I tried to explain each one, he said "I told you. Just tell me how much you are going to pay". So I did.

Now it was awhile ago, but I still have that receipt someplace. The TRU total was something like 697.00. I spent a little under 200.00. I always buy too much for the kids, but this year was over the top. I saved alot of it until the next year, and had birthdays, relatives birthdays, and friends birthdays covered for the entire year.

I was hoping for the same luck the next year, but I got some anal little beeyotch- I rightfully argued with her about some of the stuff she wasn't allowing, and eventually she cried and had her manager take over- lol.

I am a bad person. I make Toys R Us cashiers cry on BF.

  8. I ended up buying the Linksys- both components cost me about a hundred dollars, but my boy now has a computer and wireless internet in his room for 150.00!!:D

AND - I installed it all AND IT WORKS- I am very proud of myself.

Now he will leave my computer alone, and my other son can use his psp in the house. I am one happy camper.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone!

  9. Hello!

I bought a computer at work today, for FIFTY bucks (lightly used at one of the dealerships, I work at Kawasaki corporate) came with a flat panel monitor. So, it was a great deal. However, it is for my son whose room is upstairs (my computer is downstairs, I have a cable modem). The IT guy at work told me I need the following things: A wireless router, USB wireless adapter, and a Cat 5E. Once I have these things, my son can start using his computer.

I know I can walk into Best Buy (yuk) and just request these things, but my first thought was to post here and see where the best place is to get this stuff. My boss is going to come over and install it all for me once I have these components. I admit to being completely ignorant about the whole wireless thing, and don't want to get ripped off at Best Buy.

I was just going to call my cable company and have them hook up a cable modem in his room, but my IT guy said that it would be cheaper in the long run for me to just get this stuff.

Can any of you experts help me?

    Thanks!!
