  1. We went to Target, I wanted the Ipad air with the 100.00 gift card.  We were about 60 people back in line, but my smart son knew where they would be, so he speed walked when the doors opened and was 3rd in line- so I got it!  Got some of the pajamas, looked at the boots but they were cheesey looking, so I passed.

We then went to the mall, which is usually where we score pretty big, but my son's girlfriend had too much to drink at her parent's house, so it was a big fail.  She was trashed.  So my daughter and I hurried thru Victorias Secret, I got some panties and the free bag- which was supposed to have "beauty essentials" in it- just 4 perfume samples :-/.  I got a great deal on some Guess boots at Macy's, but none of the coupons they had in the paper worked, so the checkout girl gave me 15 dollars off.

My daughter and I are going back to mall tomorrow, and back to Target to see if we missed anything. There wasn't anything I really wanted this year, so I am happy with my Ipad.

    Hope everyone scored big!!

  2. I went to Staples at 3am for the HP laptop for my daughter. I was 3rd in line. This particular Staples is kind of hidden, and since we have a new one a couple of blocks away, people tend to forget this one is there.

The manager came out with tickets, apoligized for not having heaters or coffee for us (lol) and everyone went back to their car and waited until they opened at 6. There were 5 each of the 299.00 and 499.00 laptops, and 11 of the 399.00 ones, which is what I wanted. Very smooth, he opened the doors at 6, and I was back in the car at 6:05.

Went to Target next, got a dvd player, some of the glove and hat sets, a couple of sweaters. Took about one minute to check out.

I was going to try and do the mall, but I have been up since 8am yesterday....

So I came home, waited for the Kindle deal on Amazon, got it. I think I will shop online for the rest of the day.

  3. Oyyyy, this subject comes up every year. I didn't camp out last year, but I did the previous 4 years. Each of those years I sold my extra vouchers. I waited on line for nearly 24 hrs in each of those years and what I chose to do with the vouchers was my perogative. As to the question of whether selling vouchers will increase this year. I doubt it. Those that sell them do so to those that want to buy them. As far as the old argument that it's unfair etc...well, make sure you are in front of me in line then, problem solved.

But why would you get the vouchers if you didn't want the item? Leave them for the people that want them. It is just tacky and classless to take advantage of people.

  4. Well, I went through the ads a few times, hoping to find an excuse to go out, but I can't find anything worth the effort.

I think I will just enjoy everyone else's BF stories, and sleep in. I can normally find a great deal on anything I need by coming here throughout the year, and I am sure there will be some great deals before Christmas.

Everyone who is going, have a blast!!

  5. Well tonight we talked and we are all going to have a wonderful Christmas. She can open her presents but the FUN ones she is going tohave to earn by not lying, pulling grades up and stop being so darn sneaky. hubby was pretty receptive to my thought. thank you for your comments. I everyone has a wonderful Holiday. And yes Candy is a way to his heart. lol

That makes me happy- you will probably get a much better result with her behavior now. The other would have just caused resentment, and ruined everyone's Christmas, not just hers. Glad hubby relented.

  6. Oh, I am going through the same thing. Our daughter is grounded and I it was said that Christmas would be taken away. It is breaking my heart to not give her anything. I thought of things she NEEDED and not wanted. Wlel now my dh & I are barely talking since for him it is all or nothing. There is no in between. Again, I am so torn, I was upset last night and he I told him I didn't want to talk about not wanting to tick him off more then he already has been, but he knew what was wrong before asking me. I told him forget I don't want to argue. His reposne there is no arguement nothing for her for X-mas and that she is to stay in her room. duaghter has been goofing off in school and started lying that she had no work when she really did. Any advise. DH is so stubborn and thick headed, I already told him I was thinking of doing overtime at work since we are open that day, cause I can't see how I can get through the day seeing her torn up and myself torn up. We have a 6 year old also. Please anyone with advise or words of wisdom, I am desperate here. Thanks:confused:

Wow! That is way harsh. Taking away Christmas for goofing off in school? All teenagers go through that. That is the wrong thing to do, in my opinion. It will also ruin the 6 year old's Christmas. Punishment for goofing off in school can be given after Christmas.

  7. I posted a deal lastnight for the Compaq laptop they had at Best Buy for 399 and it was deleted...it was a valid deal, I know because I got one. Does anyone know why it was deleted? Just don't want to make the same mistake again if I did it wrong.
  8. "make them complete the purchase with the ticket they have in hand."

"Make", being the important word here. Shall you equip the BB employees with guns or tazers to enforce your new purchase law?

A stamp? Wouldn't a microchip tag under the skin make this enforcement so much easier? Oh yeah. They can scan you as you enter and give you special discounts if you are a senior citizen, or one of their target selling groups. Or they can call the police if you have been previously convicted of "merchandise ticket selling".:gdparanoid:

No need to be snarky. If they take a ticket, then they are walked into the store and they purchase the item. If they choose not to, then the ticket goes to the next person.

I think it is reprehensible and greedy to sell something like a doorbuster ticket. Karma, anyone?

  9. I bought this one on BF for 75.00, with a 1g memory stick for 9.99 for my daughter (10). It seems to be a great camera (8 megapixels)- if it is the same one you are talking about- it is the easyshare one. They had a bundle at cc for 129.00 that included the dock, but the lines there were ridiculous.
  10. Personally, I think it's beyond tacky to sell tickets. I think what BB should do is take people in 5 at a time (who have stood in line) and make them complete the purchase with the ticket they have in hand. Otherwise, the ticket goes to the next person in line.

Makes me wonder what kind of upbringing a person had that they would sell a ticket, or even buy more than what they need with the intention to sell it for a profit on ebay.

  11. But they changed that after like week 2 and then they had drawings and then some of the stuff was still up for grabs. I got the big George Foreman grill for $20 shipped. If they have it again, just keep checking this site- the folks here were great with the updates!

I got the Zune for 90.00 last year during this promotion they had....I was one happy camper.

  12. A group of friends I have gone with for the past 5 years or so, but thanks to GD, I really didn't need that much last year, my BF purchases were mostly "wants". This year, my 16 year old son may stand on line at BB if they have a lappy for a good price. I would like to get one for each of my kids, so I may have him and his brother camp out.
