  1. Do you know what I hate? People who assume. You know what assuming does don't you? Every year I put my blitz items in layaway as I have 3 kids and don't want to chance hiding them at home, where they may find them. With 3 kids, sometimes blitz is the only time that I can get a good enough deal to get 3 big ticket items at the same time. A gentleman I know also bought several of the desktops to donate to the local church, not to put on e-bay. He put those in layaway, so that he could give them to them at the Christmas service and he did not have a place to store them until then. And, on Blitz morning everyone looks like they are from the projects around here. I work in an office and normally go around in professional attire. But on BF I has on old jeans, tennis shoes and one of my husbands old sweatshirts. So, my suggestion would be not to assume. It only makes an a** of you and me.

I would like to give you a big :yelclap: and a :howdy: off to you for this. I just recently had a baby and want to give her a first good christmas and still be able to buy my family a good christmas, so I had to put 5 of her things on layaway ( now understand I didn't put any of my BF items on layaway) but I have to give my mom my paychecks for the next three weeks so that I could have cash to buy the rest of my family's christmas. I also know that I will be putting her stuff on layaway for years to come because it is a good way to hide it.

    1 LeapPad Plus Writing- $25:giggle:

    HP Camera-$88:D

    DVD/VCR -$48:D

    4 Garth Brooks Set- $25 each:giggle:

    2 PJ Sets- $10 each:)

    Blender-$15:)

PS2 Burnout 3- $8:giggle: ( bf bought it for $19.99 for a friend weeks ago)

    and some other miscellanous stuff

Then on to ToysRUs where I bought clothes, Classical Chorus Gym, Cinderella,

Then on to the mall and Kohl's and Target.:D

All in all I got everything I wanted and then some. Spent probably close to $1,000. Will be paying off CCs till next christmas. Oh Well at least it will be a good Christmas.:holiday08

  3. some stores do open earlier than what their ad says...toysrus a few years back was supposed to open at 6..it was open at 525 (prolly earlier since people was already inside).

I know at my TRU we will open 15-20 mins early after our store manager goes out and tells the people to behave like adults.
  4. Can you spot the BestBuy Employee:

  5. I have worked at TRU for 5 years on BF and I can tell you it will get very crowded very fast. Last year I was a key carrier behind the registers in electronics and if I came from behind them I could not go anywhere for all the people standing in line
  6. So which DVD Player do you guys think is a better brand and deal

    Walmart-Dual Screen Emerson 7" $149.99

    or

Toys R US- Craig 7" Screen with free $19.99 or less DVD

My dad said he has always had great luck with Emerson. Has anyone had experience with either brand? Thanks In Advance!

I work at TRU and we have never had the Craig brought back with any problems. Just whatever you do don't buy the Teen Tech DVD player we sell it is a piece of you know what. Just a little note on our electronics return policy: You have 45 days to return it unopened w/ a receipt, if it has been opened we will give you the exact same thing. We also sell what we call Buyer Protection Plans they are plans that cover the product if anything goes wrong w/ it for a year after the manufacturer's warrenty ends. For the dvd player you want it would only be $8.99 extra so ask your cashier about it if you want it. Sorry for rambling.Hope this helps.:)
  7. I have a ?. I just got my WM ad for this week and it had a little wraparound 2 page thing for Friday for doorbusters the thing is that it has the HP camera in there for $98.88 and the 20" tv w/ dvd player for $129.83.:bs: When I went on their site and put my zipcode in (30132) the 2 stores I might go to had the camera for $88 and the tv for $98.:g_dance: Which one do I believe? Should I just wait till T-day and get the newspaper and it might be different?
  8. Reilly, I found my HP easy to use. It DOES go through batteries like crazy (I always have a pair in the charger because if I am taking a lot of pictures I need to switch them out). I just got another good deal, an HP 935 off ebay for $86 INCLUDING the dock. She had it listed as an HP 930 but after the auction ended, I got her to send me a pic and its really the 935, it retails for over $200! Not many recommend an HP but I had mine for a year with no problems. One of my kids must have dropped my pocketbook or stepped on it and broke the camera, it was going to go from me to hubby for his business when I bought a new 5MP... I liked the quality of pics the camera did for me. If you want to see the pics I took with my HP, they are on my website www.creationswithcharacter.com These were all in the lower setting, not on the best resolution. Hope this helps, I liked my HP and bought another one ~Steph

Thank you so much for your help and even with those being on the lower setting they were really good. I love your ceiling fans by the way, I might have to look into getting some when I decorate my daughter's room. Just 1 more quick ? How good is the LCD on the HP b/c on my bfs kodak it is really grainy and that is why I am afraid to buy another Kodak. Do they have a rechargable battery pack for the HP?:crossfing
  9. I would LOVE to wait until BF but I dont think I can hold out business wise until then :( That looks like a GREAT deal

You said you had an HP. How did you like it? I am looking at the HP photosmart E317 at WM for $ 88 and the Kodak easyshare c315 at Target for $ 89.99. I have read reviews on the HP and everyone seems to like it but can't find any on the C315. any help you can give would be great, Thanks:)
  10. Yes, I work for TRU and we do price adjust on BF but if it is a doorbuster you have to come in the store during that time. You only have to bring your receipt and go to customer service which shouldn't be that busy because we don't check people out there, but beware other people might be thinking the same way you are. Hope this helps

I just went to the TRU that you said you work at (Douglasville) and a lady named Brandy said that there is no price adjusting for door busters. Can you tell me what is the correct answer or do I need to speak with a manager. Also will doorbusters be avail. on line?

    Thanks

Brandy is new this season but she might be right. I am on maternity leave but have worked at that store for 5 years and I remember Price adjusting before but they may have changed things this year. Best bet talk to a manager or supervisor. Oh please don't tell them you heard it from me, not that I am ashamed of GottaDeal but I don't know how they would react to me being on here telling ya'll this and I go back in 2 weeks.
