  1. nieces and nephews want Hot Wheels and Barbies
  2. I work in the appliance repair field, Kenmore laundry products are fine if you get the ones built by Whirlpool, you can tell these by the beginning of the model number, they all start with 110.xxxxx . As far as the LG and Samsung models, these are pure junk and hype, both of these are really bad about discontinuing parts for 2-3 year old machines. I work on all of them and the only brand to get is something in the Whirlpool family, plus its the only American owned major builder that's left. ALL front load machines have problems with the smell/mold issue, be sure to get some of the cleaning tablets for this, also all front loaders have tub bearing issues. My opinion would be to get a basic top load. Appliances are going thru overhaul lately, with the government dictating how much water and power it has to use, now we have soooo many sensors, thermistors etc to monitor all this. Mike
  3. My wife and I start buying gift cards from various places we shop at starting around june, that is our version of a Christmas savings account. Come black Friday we are ready to spend!
  4. I 've been told by several tv salesmen and the store in our town who used to be zenith now carries strictly lg, that they are top of the line with samsung. I have two samsung's that I think are wonderful. I've read nothing but good reviews for both. Thats because they make more profit off them!
  5. Noticed the LG says only 2 per store... crazy stupid. Dont buy LG, pure junk, I work in the appliance service field, that thing is a jok!!
  6. Forget that Walmart junk, go to a real bike store, most have layaway and the one I used even held it till Christmas eve. Mike
  7. I work in the appliance service field, the ONLY brand to consider is Whirlpool (which is also Sears and Maytag) Stay away from the LG and Samsung's, pure junk. Good for my business though but there is no way I would reccomend them. Whirlpool is also American owned and made here.
  8. Well water has nothing to do with the refrig per se, it puts off a vapor that eats away at copper tubing. More than likely your refrig was out of warranty anyway as only the high end models have longer than a year warranty or unless you took out a extended warranty. Check your model number unless it begins with 106 (which is Whirlpool built) I wouldnt repair it anyway. I am in the appliance service business and that is the only brand I recommend unless you are going to the high end models. You should be able to find someone that does sealed system work to repair it for you . I would get another opinion as the compressor is probably ok, I bet its got a leak. Sears service has never been known to be any good, revolving door at that place.
  9. I used to buy the AmEX gift cards every friday, then come Christmas I had plenty ready to go, not anymore. I got royally screwed at Hollister's when I took 2 pairs of jeans back and they wound up putting the credit back on them, the only problem is they are non reloadable. so I lost, both companies said each other was responsible. Now I only but store specific gift cards Mike
  10. I work for a appliance service company, we had a training meeting last week and one of the topics that came up was that Sears was going to have appliances 35% off on BF. That would be lower than cost!!!! Great deals
  11. I work for a appliance service company, buy Whirlpool.... Mike

    Washers & Dryers

I work for a appliance service company, only buy something in the Whirlpool family ex., Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Roper, Estate or Sears.full size, no Sears stacks or front loads. Everything else out there except certain high end brands are pure junk.
