    I've showed them the site but its just b/c of what comes up... I don't know if that site is some type of spyware or what since I don't really know how that works. What I don't understand is the bad site doesn't even come up on my actual computer. It just comes up under their firewall as a blocked site. But I guess since I work for the state they don't want to take any chances (hackers, viruses, etc.) I will just have to be bored to death until I get home and finally talk my DH into letting me on the computer.

    My job is very lenient on internet usage and will let you use the internet for personal use throughout the day as long as it doesn't interfere with your productivity. Well a few weeks ago I was on Gottadeal and entering contests and the IT guy comes in my office asking what girldirector.com is. I tell him I have no clue. That kinda frieked me out b/c they thought I was looking at porn at work. Well today I was on Gottadeal at work and a lady in IT who I'm friends with emails me and says whatever site I am on is coming up on the firewall as girldirector.com and asks me to please exit the site. I'm not sure if it is the actual gottadeal site, but the only other two sites I was on at that time frame was the papermate contest and the subway contest. Whatever it was, I am no longer allowed to view Gottadeal at work :no:

    We could probably spend around up to $700.00

     

    I would like to get a new flat panel monitor b/c we have everything crammed into our bedroom since we live in an apartment and every way to save space will help.

     

    We have a HP already, but I didn't know if I wanted to stick with that brand or not.

    Well, my brother-in-law we believe has a virus on it and my husband has gotten this great idea that we should get a new computer? Depending on a lot of things we might go ahead and get one....Any suggestions?

     

    I know nothing about what to look for but I want it to have a CD burner (DVD Burner??) and lots of disk space and for it to have office programs...What are some good brands of computers and price ranges??? Thanks for all you help...

    I would like to point out that Wal-Mart did start out as a small business and did grow into what it is today.

     

    I would also like to point out that I knew a couple of people that worked there that would not be given the full 40 hrs a week to be qualified as full time so they wouldn't have to pay benefits. There are ALOT of places that do this type thing, so it really isn't new and I can't really get mad at Wal-Mart about that, b/c it is a pretty good idea. If someone will still work 39 hrs. a week and you don't have to pay benefits, that's good for you. Maybe they aren't as concerned about the employee, but that's why they are such a large corporation now.

     

    I don't want to offend anyone, just wanted to add my .02
