  1. NBC Nightly News is supposed to have something on this tonight. Hopefully us GDers will know well before then.
  2. Any idea how to find out what size tires are included in the Sear BF ad? I'm not sure anyway I can hold out that long, but the Goodyear Weatherhandler price is very tempting to delay replacing these bald wires of tires!
  3. Any idea of this will dock an Ipod Shuffle? Just got one free for my DD for Christmas. Thanks
  4. Now listed as yesterday's deal but still able to order. Ordered 1 pair, only parcel post delivery available-$14.65 w/shipping. Hopefully my DD can fit the XL as she really wanted yellow.
  5. How can you tell what sizes these correspond to in numbers? Thanks
  6. Elena, you may want to call back & try again with another rep at DirectTV. My co-worker was offered a lower rate comparable to new client rates. But this was only offered once she was out of contract period. That's why I even tried in the first place-I am out of contract & could switch to either DirectTV or cable at any time. And as far as the "once a customer, always a customer" line I was given by the Dish rep for being unable to reap the benefits of cancelling & opening a new account, I may just have it added in my spouses name to take advantage of that. I can pocket a little profit while my receivers are still ok by selling then on eBay.
  7. I became aware recently that companies such as DirectTV will offer you as an existing customer who is out-of-contract a lower rate to get you locked in to a new contract. I tried this with Dish Network based on the plan they are advertising which is $10 off the current subscription rate-only offered for new customers. They refused to offer any deal. With the entry cost in switching being low or zero, I did look into DirectTV to see if their pricing was better, but the comparable package to what I have was actually a little higher. My question: have you, as an existing customer of a service, ever called & got a better rate (either because your contract expired or you see new customers getting the same features cheaper)?
  8. I was talking about Six Flags over Texas/Arlington. If you live in Houston, there is a special link at http://www.sixflags.com for a special season ticket rate. You being from Beaumont would be eligible for the Outer Market rate.
  9. I called the season ticket support line (806-741-8172) & the lady had to ask her mgr twice exactly what I was asking. They say that the address you select the voucher to be shipped to will print on the voucher. This must then match your i.d. address when you submit at the park. Thus, this deal is good only for the Houston area 770-777 & 703-708 or within 300 miles of the park excluding 750-753 & 760-762.
  10. The cheapest for St Louis is either online or at Schnucks for $65 each. For most of us, it's not worth the trip to Louisville to save $5/each. I was just commenting on the Arlington deal since I'm sure some posters are in TX & this deal was new to the six flags website.
  11. I have been trying for a couple of weeks to find the best deal on Six Flags season tickets at http://sixflags.com & other places (i.e. eBay) & stumbled on a change just made when you select Six Flags over Texas (Arlington) & add a local zip code. You now have the option of choosing Houston or Outer Markets (non-DFW zips) for $45/each. The only problem is the local zip that allowed you to select Season Passes won't allow you to change that zip once you've gotten that far. So this may only be available for Houston & non-DFW surrounding area residence. If anyone has ordered these Outer Market season tickets before, please let me know or pm me on if they check your address (I know they check your name/picture) when you go to redeem your vouchers. I have a Houston connection. The reason I am willing to take the Arlington season tickets is that we will be going there in July & would also like the season pass option for Six Flags St Louis. Sorry for the long thread or if this is confusing (aren't all good on-line deals!). edit: I found out why I can't order Arlington tickets from my home zip from their website: I entered my ZIP code as requested, but received a message telling me I cannot purchase a pass for the park I wanted. Why? For security issues with online purchases, your zip code must be within 300 miles of the park. If you live outside of that range, please purchase your pass directly from the park or select a nearby location.
  12. Still waiting on my rebate from this purchase (12/31/05). I mailed the forms around 1/3/06, called around 3/1/06 & they directed me to mail another copy to another address. It has said on their rebate status a check was mailed about 2 weeks ago, but I never received. I sent an e-mail yesterday letting them know I'm disapointed in Lowes. To bad, too; I was looking to buy a new mower, but will look elsewhere.
  13. Beware of country blend unless you are not very picky about your coffee. I bought some at Wally a couple of months ago & wound up taking it back because it was so bad. My wife then bought it again about a month ago because it costs less than original roast. I immediately took that one back.
  14. My TRU nightmare was about 4 years ago when the cashier forgot to/or we forgot to pick up one of our piad bags of BF toys. We had a busy day of shopping & didn't realize the items were missing for more than a week when we went to wrap. Went back to the store with the receipt-they said sorry, nothing was turned in & they also wouldn't let us replace. Only been back a couple of times since.
  15. I saw this for the first time when I went to returns @ WM yesterday. I thought it looked cute & had no idea how much it $$. For the size of that sucker & (I think 6 songs), I didn't figure it would price the same as the singing bass, though!
  16. Has anyone price compared these w/Wally, KMart, etc? Thanks http://weeklyad.target.com/target/circular_browse_listing_detail.asp?storeid=2396008&pagenumber=6&rapid=212932&listingid=-2096037600&
  17. #1 pet peeve of all time is the spelling police!
  18. What holiday pet peeves do you have? I just about lost it 5 minutes ago when I heard another "lowest prices of the season" commercial. Ok, what defines a season (especially when not around Christmas)? And how do we know how long the stores "seasons" last until you get the next lowest price (or lower). Not to sound Seinfeldian here, but do people really buy into this? I'm so bothered I ca't even spell pet!
  19. There is 1 Soft & Dri coupon & 1 for either Gillette or Righ Guard. I bought 3 different papers (fo me that's St. Louis, Belleville, Il & The Southern Illinoian) to get all store ads & got 3 sets of coupons.
  20. Just wanted to make sure everyone knows-Walgreens weekly ad 12/4-12/10 has 2-3 oz of the following for 99 cents & this weeks Smart Source has 75 cent coupons for each: Soft & Dri Gillette Right Guard I figured by the time I read the ad the probably are sold out (especially since Walgreens takes coupons). So I ad matched at Walmart & got 6 deodorants for a buck fifty. http://weeklyad.walgreens.com/walgreens/default.aspx?action=browsepagesingle&storeid=2430028&rapid=208184&pagenumber=40
  21. I got a free year's membership when they put a new store in near my work & had an onsite membership signup. That was about 2 years ago & I didn't renew for the $45 fee. I like Sam's better myself. You may see if they'll come to your work & gice you 1 year free!
  22. I didn't check out but I tried to use another discount code ($10 off $25 purchase) & it won't let you use more than 1 discount code. However, the code mentioned above actually is 1/2 off all 22 oz candles (i.e. I had 3 in my cart & they were all listing at 50% retail).
  23. I get no current ads are available for your area:(
  24. Why is i that this item is listed on the BF item list but I can't find it on the .pdf file. Does that mean that some of the items are cutoff from the visible area of the file?
  25. I just saw this message, got on the cell phone with my wife & she picked it up at the sale price, all in 2 minutes time! Thanks
