  1. Looking at the Skylanders Giants game also. Trying to figure out between BB and WMT where I have the better chance to actually get it.
  2. Favorite things about BF: people watching and saving money.
  3. No issues completing the survey.
  4. 1. In the past the webcasts have been on Saturday night. Does this still work or is there a better time? Saturday or Sunday nights. 2. What BF topics would you like to see this year covered? Besides price/feature comparisons I would also like to see price comparisons from previous BFs and "normal" sale prices outside the holiday season. 3. What do you like about the webcasts? They are interactive and they allow open discussions. 4. What dont you like about the webcasts? 5. How long should they last each time? 30 to 60 minutes unless there is a lot going on. 6. Do you like the special webcasts? (the ones we do the day a major ad is leaked) YES!
  5. I like the later times too, the 5AM openings were the best.
  6. Hi Everyone, Maybe a recap from last year with price predictions for this year. I like the ideas of reviewing features of electronic items and the idea of having store managers come on and talk about BF. On another note, have you looked at Google+ (G+)? They have "Hangouts" which I think would be a great fit for the webcasts you do.
  7. Here is a write up and video of Furby 2012: http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/06/furby-hands-on-video/
  8. And from the link above they said that Sears has deleted the information. Guess that was not supposed to get out yet. I think this does start the 2012 BF discussions.
  9. Got to the one in Pompano about 930pm and finally found them about 15 minutes later, about 10 in stock. After I grabbed one five others flew off the shelf. I must say that two associates helped carry it to my van. It was very heavy and I am very thankful they helped me. Actually a good experience :)
  10. Target in Deerfield Beach, FL: About 200 people down stairs waiting at 1138pm. I am waiting upstairs where there are 30 of us BUT they not open these doors until 1215am.
  11. Pompano and Deerfield Beach, Florida.
  12. Do not like them. 5am is a great start time, much earlier than that and it impacts Thanksgiving for those who have to work. I love Black Friday but when the shopping starts at midnight or 10PM Thanksgiving it becomes a bit diluted IMO.

  14. Just saw this article from earlier this week: sun-sentinel.com/business/fl-sawgrass-thanksgiving-hours-20111006,0,416406.story South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com Sawgrass Mills to open 24-hours for Black Friday shopping Mall to open two hours earlier from 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Day By Arlene Satchell, Sun Sentinel 5:38 PM EDT, October 5, 2011 Sunrise's Sawgrass Mills is planning to offer 24 hours of non-stop shopping to kick off the Black Friday shopping season. The mall said Tuesday it will open its doors from 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, through 10 p.m. Nov. 25, to give shoppers a head start on exclusive deals and bargains. "This is a major first for Sawgrass Mills and it is a great way to kick off the holiday season," said Joellyn Fellmeth, director of marketing and business development in a statement. She said stores will be open two more hours compared to last Thanksgiving to give retailers and shoppers more opportunity. Last year Sawgrass opened from midnight Thanksgiving through 9:30 p.m. the following day. It was the first South Florida mall to kick off the tradition of a midnight Thanksgiving opening. The mall's previous Thanksgiving midnight openings have drawn throngs of South Floridians looking to get first dibs on sales and promotions – some offered for a limited time only. Last year an estimated 30,000 Black Friday diehards waited in lines for the midnight opening. For a nominal fee, shoppers laden with holiday purchases will be able to take advantage of a new shopping bag storage and shipping service launched this year. They can either store their packages at the mall while shopping or have them sent to their home, hotel or airport. Shoppers not wanting to hassle with finding their own parking space can also take advantage of valet services during the holiday season, mall officials said. Fifteen minutes after the midnight Thanksgiving opening last year, the mall's 12,000 parking spaces were completely full. Located at 12801 W. Sunrise Blvd., the shopping, dining and entertainment complex has more than 350 name-brand outlet and off-price retailers, two food courts and six full-service restaurants among other amenities. asatchell@tribune.com or 954-356-4209. 16. Looks like there will be an iPad alternative, the Google Tablet.
