Looks like maybe it was a return or found in the back room or something. I don't know if it works or is missing parts or anything because I haven't opened it yet, but I will. I just couldn't pass up that deal! Also checked out the Global Bazaar clearance and it was really picked over at 75% off today. But I did manage to get one of the black end tables for $37....was hoping for two, but one is better than nothing.

I went to Target yesterday specifically to get a new iron because my current one is awful. I wasn't even hoping for clearance prices. But I found a Black & Decker Digital Advantage Iron that was originally $39.99...marked at $27.98 and rang up at $9.99! 75% off. Yay me. Also picked up a Riedel wine carafe and wine glass set for $9.99, 75% off.

Hmmm, is this still going on? I did it once at one Walgreens and then stopped in at another and didn't get the register reward. I bought the exact same item so I know it qualified and it was $4.00 so it should have worked.

Mine was 75% off today too. I just got some little things that I can use in my classroom (stickers, pencils, etc.) next year. But everything I got was like .12 each so that was great! Also got the Dimetapp but didn't know about the extra coupon until just now so I'm going to hit another Walgreens with that. :)

You should. The register reward comes off at the end and all Walgreens care about is if the right items are on the receipt. I don't see why you can't make more money on the deal! lol

In January's Rebate Catalog, you can get a rebate of up to $10 by purchasing certain Walgreens brand items. It is rebate item #13 in the catalog. Anyway, if you buy three items you will get a $5 rebate and for 5 items you get a $10 rebate. The hand sanitizer was on sale 2/$2.99 (or 1 for $1.99) The tissues are $1.79 Wal-phed is $2.99 Cough drops are 2/$3 (or 1 for 1.99 I think) Those were the best deals. So, depending on how you combine the items, you could make money on this deal. :) I pretty much broke even because I needed some cold medicine and tissues anyway. I also got 2 of the hand sanitizers. I think my total for 5 items was $9.58. I am sure you guys will figure out how to get the best bang for your buck on this one. :)

I will probably make a purchase online for Christmas stuff because my local B&BW was completely wiped out today by the time I got there.

Well, the Deep Brilliance one is by Farouk Deep Brilliance rather than by Farouk CHI. I am going to bet that the original price on these is rather inflated and that these are lower end appliances made by Farouk. I am not saying that they aren't worth the money because I don't know these specific products, but I just want to point out that you are not getting a CHI iron for this price.

I am looking for a deal on a DVD player/recorder to go with our HD plasma tv. This is what I want: DVD player/recorder dual deck with VHS and I want it to have Upconverter. Will such a thing exist on BF for around $200? The best deal I have found is a JVC unit for $229.

I would not recommend buying a high ticket or large item online from BB. They are actually two separate stores and it is a huge pain to deal with BB.com. We bought a plasma tv last year on Black Friday online rather than dealing with the store. It was a 48 hour deal I believe....a really good deal. Well, we noticed a couple of days after it arrived that something was not quite right with the picture, etc. and discovered that it had been slightly damaged in delivery. Anyway, bb.com does NOT let you exchange items, only return them and repurchase. The were willing to adjust the price for us so that we'd get the sale price for the repurchase but we also had a rebate for $300. By returning the item, we would void the rebate and the expiration had passed to still get the rebate when we repurchased. They refused to sell us the tv for the price after rebate. My husband had to go to the store and talk to a manager 3 times and they finally just sold it to us for the final price we would have originally paid after rebate. We were so thankful that they were helpful because bb.com was NOT and we will NOT shop online again.

I didn't even get a nap! I shopped for about 11 hours yesterday....crazy! I was up at 4:30 and didn't go to bed until 11. Today I am volunteering for a giftwrapping fundraiser so I won't get a nap today either. Yawn!!!
