I'd say there is about a 60% chance of it being in there. they were big sellers last year, and having them at a non-doorbuster price would help bring more traffic in. If I hear anything in the next week, I'll pass it along

first off, you are completely incorrect. the Best Buy near me will have about the same amount they had with the original XBOX. most of which will be immediately available, starting at 8am. some Best Buy stores are open at midnight. If you want them, you can get them, but you are going to have to wait in line at least 6+ hours. when I got my ps2 I waited about 11 hours in line. just have the cash and a comfy chair :)

The cost and possible confusion would be horrible for a retailer to produce a fake ad. besides, if they weren't leaked, you can still find out what stuff was in the ad, you just have to be creative. most stores will have minimum quantities separated out for the BF ad. if you can find where they are, you can see just how much overall stock they have. I usually do this 1-2 days before hand, especially if there is something I need.

don't have to worry about cutting in line, my friends and I all go out together, usually we will do paper/rock/scissors to see who makes hot chocolate runs but those stop a hour before the store opens.

expect to find lots of LCD/Plasma's being advertised at a good price this year, especially LCDs. they will be the hot ticket this year. As far as XBOX 360, expect to find a good supply of them country-wide. despite rumors there will be a decent supply of the core systems and a butt load of the bundled systems. think of it like this, the core system doesn't really give much in way of profit, but the bundled system gives some room to gain some profit. Also, I believe this season will be the first season most major retailers will have free a/r dvd players. I'm expecting next year to see progressive scan dvd players free a/r. lots of fun in the near future :)

Hi! here is my two cents on bf. first, always go with someone. you might need their help, either to block and protect, or to do something as easy as push the cart. I'd suggest finding yourself at least 3 stores to go to. #1 being the one you absolutely have to go to, and you believe you have a good shot at getting everything you want. #2 back up to number 1. #3 probably not stuff you really really want, but has very good deals and shouldn't be a big hassle to get stuff from. #3 should be your fallback in case 1 or 2 have too big of line. Also, enjoy yourself. you are there to get some good deals, but this should be a fun time. I always have fun with the people in line with me. talking, sharing food. someone making that late morning, 1hr before open beverage run
