  1. thank you to all of the supportive posts. I am just airing my beef against BB. If BB knew so many people were against their policies, maybe they would change them. I don't know. But I definitely learned my lesson this time. Check store policies, wait until BF, and be patient to buy.
  2. this is what I wanted to get it for him. Know of any books/websites that have info on geocaching?

This is a really nice basic starter GPS! It kinda depends on what he wants to use it for whether this is the one for him. If he'll be using it for goecaching, it will be perfect. If he wants to download more specific maps, can't do with this kind. You can check out the Garmin website to see all what it can do.

  3. I am going to go to Office depot and see if they have the same numbers on their boxes. that is a good idea. But I am sure BB probably does it, just my luck!:egg:

Unfortunately it is over 14 days, but you might buy it at Office Depot anyway and return it to Best Buy unopened. Tell BB you never got around to opening it.. unless Best Buy scans some unique serial code on the laptops, it just may work. I bought a refurb laptop at Best Buy a couple weeks ago and I don't think they entered the serial number anywhere on the receipt.

  4. Obviously you haven't read all of the posts saying "Best Buy" will not take a computer back after 14 days!" That is why I am complaining!!! :trampolin :trampolin

I dont know what you are complaining about you have 30 days from the date you bought it to return and go get a NEW computer from wherever you saw the better deal if Best Buy wont work with you. Its not a matter of Best Buy sucking you want your way and your not following the policy set forth by Best Buy. Read the ENTIRE return policy and if not satisifed contact customer service and I am sure they will gladly refund your money and you can go get yourself a newm computer elsewhere. :spamdance

  5. I called three times to see if I could price match. The sale at O. Depot is all day Fri. and Sat. I may still see if they will do it if I walk in with my reciept and their ad. It can't hurt to try in person.

    what is nvm?

  6. I bought a Compaq Presario laptop on the 3rd. Office depot has the same exact one onsale friday and saturday for 150.00 less and includes a printer!!! I called Best Buy and they won't price match it because: a) it is past 14 days and B) they won't price match over next weekend. I love my computer, but I wish Best Buy would work with me. This sucks!: :flame: : Best Buy sucks!:splat:Best Buy sucks :no:Best Buy sucks! :2banned2:Best Buy sucks! :shitfan:Best Buy sucks! :argue_cur:Best Best Buy sucks! :gd_withst:Best Buy sucks! :bigcry:Best Buy sucks! :wife:Best Buy sucks! :fryingpan
  7. Here in North Central Oklahoma the laptop is 498 or I can drive across the Kansas boarder and get it for the 398. Thats where I will be on friday anyways, but if I wasn't I would be PO'd.

I am in Tulsa and its 398...maybe you should come east.:)

  8. Is it a little unethical? Possibly.

What I DO find disturbing is people buying the items BEFORE Black Friday and then hoping to just walk in and get the price adjusted or price matched. Unlike the people who froze their butts off that night they just walk in with their reciept and hope to get the deal that they didn't earn.

And let's face it, we EARN these deals by the patience we have in line.

But if you go a week before BF and buy something, you've already deprived someone of a chance to get that item because some other person didn't know you could do that.

Sure you're not making money but is that fair to the other Black Friday shoppers who didn't know/didn't have the funds for the original item price at the time?

I have no problem going early, buying the item and then going back for a price adjustment. I can't be in 5 places at once and I am not with a buddy. Isn't this one of the advantages of visiting this site? We can check out the ads early and plan everything early. ONCE AGAIN EACH MAN OR WOMAN FOR THEMSELVES!!:lolrun:

  9. thats not right..Its not fair game unless its been un maned for awhile.... You wouldnt like it if someone did it to you!:flame:

on these days of mad shopping, everything is fair game!!!:greenappl

  10. I know that Target and other stores (Kohls, Walmart, etc.) always end up with shopping carts around the Christmas section and toy section piled high with items that shoppers carried around and then changed their mind and put it anywhere in the store. I have often looked through these baskets and have even found some excellent deals. Some times a worker just pushes the basket to the area and then leaves. And don't be shy if you want to go through the basket. At Target, I usually drag it over to Target's price checker and just go through the items one by one. Have fun shopping!:eyepoppin:gd_orange
  11. Iwas told by Target employee that for price adjustment you MUST have receipt. It would only seem fair that if they can find you on a computer without a receipt just by using your cc or debit card why can't they just give you the pa. also you may want to check they it must be done at same store as purchase

To check for a receipt you do have to be at the same store. I don't think it will be a problem for the price adjustment because all they do is print you another.

  12. I went my first year with my sister. Now I always go by myself. There is nothing worse than itching to go to your next store and your partner still needs something and you can't go.

Also, I always make friends in the line where I am. I have never had someone not let me go to my van, or potty or whatever.

    Good luck!
