As far as using a pvr card, my only issue would be getting the show from my hdd to my tv. What format does that show record in? If avi, then I could use my modded xbox to watch it. If not how could I get the show to my tv without 35 ft. of coax. cable?
As far as the t.v....if I wait in line the t.v. would be $299+tax=$320 plus 14.95X12 months of AOL=$179.40 or $500 and would have to wait for a $200 rebate...so I'd save $100. I might be able to con my sister into paying for the aol as she uses it...and if I got a compusa card with no interest for 90 days, I might get rebate back by then and apply to card...
outpost would be $630 after s/h...I'd have to put it out cc at 12% APR...I'm thinking compusa might be better
