  1. Got an e-mail from Victoria's Secret (then went to their site and the same ad popped up) they will have $25 VS Pink pants and sweatshirts on Friday. They did this last year and they are specially made for the sale. Last year they were rolled into little bundles. They will also have the free Supermodel tote with a $60 purchase.

I ALSO noticed that they have a new PINK dog give away, but that doesn't start until Saturday. They used to have them available on black Friday.

  2. I looked up some of the kids on the JC Penny website but some of them are confusing. Like there was a 12 year old boy who wore an 11.5 in men's shoes and his clothing size was "XL" I would assume that's XL in men's because of the shoe size, but I would feel terrible if it weren't. There were only 6 kids to choose from in my area and 4 were questionable with the sizes and the other 2 wanted an iPod and an Xbox. They had other gifts listed, but I figured I would leave those in case anyone out there could supply those.

ANYWAY...it all ended up working out. They sent out an e-mail at work today that they had some last minute additions to the kids from the Children's Shelter and I signed up to get one of them.

  3. My 21 year old sister has asked for a seatbelt belt in lime green...she's always up for the different items, so she had to send me a link so I could figure out what the heck a seatbelt belt was...so I had to laugh when I saw this!

I wanted one of these SOOOOOO bad when I was about 14. They had them at The Buckle in the mall but the one they had was rubbery and had bottle caps on it. I thought it was the coolest thing ever, but I never ended up getting it.

  4. I went to get an Angel from the Salvation Army angel tree here today and was kinda dis-heartened. Almost ALL of the kids asked for iPads (whether they were infants or 12, which makes me suspicious) and laptops and cell phones. Hardly any real toys at all. I had planned on finding 1 or 2 and had no problem spending $100 or so on each but what I saw was pretty ridiculous. At work they have kids we can buy for from the local children's house where they take kids that are taken from their parents. They always get bedding and toys. I wanted to do one of those but they go really fast. Perhaps I will just get some random toys and donate to toys for tots.
  5. I'd like to get 2 of the $200 laptops. They aren't that great but the people I am buying them for wouldn't care. They just need to check their e-mail.

I'm also interested in the Harajuku Lover's perfume sets. One of my cousins would LOVE it. I went to the store today looking for it and they don't have any HL perfume at all so it must be a special Black Friday thing.

  6. How crazy does it get at old Navy on BF?

I've decided not to go to the crazy busy stores (like target & walmart) because I'll be 32 weeks pregnant at the time and REALLY don't feel like getting trampled on.

Here it gets very crazy. They usually do two lines, one on each side of the store and it's ALWAYS to the very back of the store. That being said I've never seen any trampling going on. Except for the year when they had the fleece blankets and just put the huge boxes together in the middle of the floor. It kind of became a swimming pool!

  7. This is my first time posting in the Target thread! I'm a long time Target clearance shopper though! :D

Anyways today I went in mainly looking for a Halloween doormat but they didn't have any left so I went to check out the toys. I found a Spiderman 3 Spidraulic Action Playset for $12.XX down from $50! It was in the toys on a 75% off endcap with a few other random things. Should make a good gift for one of my cousins for Christmas!

  8. Last year they were hot for about a DAY. I know someone who had 10 of them to sell. The first day on Ebay they were selling for over $100, but by the end of the day they were going for just over retail. My friend with 10 ended up returning all of them after Christmas because she couldn't sell them.
  9. How about have people register earlier in the week (Monday or Tuesday). Randomly pick the first however many spots and notify them on Wednesday what number they are. As long as they are there by 1 hour before opening they get their spot, and if people want to camp out for the spots behind this main group, let them.

I like this idea. It's similar to Ticketmaster's. You can go up and get a ticket and no matter if you have ticket #1 or ticket #100 you have an equal shot at being #1 in line. They draw the "start" number out of all of the tickets given and line them up after that. If they draw ticket #75 as the start you line up "75, 76, 77, 78...etc" then when you get to the last one you go back to 1.

  10. I bought a ton of stuff at Old Navy over the weekend! I got:

3 pairs of Diva jeans $6.97

    2 Henleys $3.97

2 short sleeve tunic tops $3.97

    2 Cami's $3.97

2 pairs of suede keyhole flats $9.75

    1 brown cropped peacoat $12.97

1 black cropped belted jacket $12.97

1 pair of black "skinny" jeans $6.97

    2 shirts for boyfriend $3.99

1 pair of silk sleep shorts $1.97

  11. Even though I am only 23 I remember crazy Black Friday's of the 80s and 90s. Even though I was so young I always always in on the action. My mom always says I was born with a shopping bag in my hand. :D

I remember Montgomery Ward always had something to give away. They also had special edition Rudolph books and stuffed animals. I also have tons of snowglobes from various places around here somewhere. I can't remember much else, but I always remember coming home with tons of stuff.

One of my most memorable holiday shopping trips (Can't remember if it was Black Friday or the Day after Christmas) was when Dillards had a huge sale on all of their Christmas decorations. We all squished through the doors and somehow got up the escalators. You could hear the people running on the floor above! It was kind of scary! But anyways we got up there and just started grabbing everything. My aunt found a bed off to the side and we made that our meeting place where we just dumped everything so we could go through everything to get what we wanted. That was a crazy year!

  12. We get out pretty late compared to others, but we still have a lot of fun. I usually get to my grandmothers house around 5 or 5:30 and we head out from there. We check the ads on Thursday to see what is going to be open and what time. Most of the time we start at the mall. Sears or JC Penny and then go from there. It is usually me, my mom, grandma, aunt, and 2 cousins.
