    thanks Archana, yep i know about the parking charges in DC, I know at some hotels it is 25 dollars per day. and thats what i wanted to know if taking a car to these attractions is feasible also or not or do we take metros. any idea if the metro is connected to all these attractions?

     

    i know hotwire is offering a 3* hotel for 74 dollars so i am thinking of bidding with priceline, bec if i have to stay in DC its better to get a lower priced hotel thru priceline and then pay the parking fees. atleast you save some bucks...

    i am also open to staying outside DC.but only if its convenient for 3days ...

    bec i know you have parking fees outside DC as well maybe not as much as DC.

    ANY IDEAS ON THE TOURS....

    i and my hubby are planning a 3 nights 4 day trip to DC in september.

     

    dates will be 1st-4th sep.

     

    we will be driving so dont need help on an airfare. what i need help on is hotels. we want to be close to all the attractions like white house, memorials.

     

    my budget for the hotels is upto 90 dollars.i dont need a very posh hotel just a good and a safe hotel.

     

    should we be staying out of DC where the hotels are cheaper. or should we stay in DC. we do have a car so driving to these places might not be a problem. plus ive heard there is a metro as well.

     

    so what do you all think we should do ?

     

    Also do you think its a good idea to book a 1 day tour ... Also if you know of any good tours that i can look up!!

    Thanks , i have seen a bag online that i like very much and its on sale. dont know if it will be available instore , but the bag comes to a total of 30 bucks which is a wee bit expensive... so thinking of waiting till the price comes down a bit.

    There prices do come down , i had ordered a tank from them for 7 bucks and today the price of it is 3.99... so hoping my bag's price also comes down a bit.

    i went yesterday to buy some capris.they had buy one get one free. so i picked up 3 capris and hubby picked up a pair of shorts. all for 78 dollars and really beautiful capris... today also the sales lady was sayin there will be some markdowns. i did have a look at the clearance but didnt like anything much..
