I've recieved conflicting answers regarding Fry's Pricematching Policy on Black Friday, which basically means that if you're adamant enough, you'll get away with it. (I've pulled off a pricematch to BB without an ad and without them even confirming the price before -- and no, I didn't lie about the price. :)) And Fry's will be releasing a full ad (eight pages, I believe?) on Friday. They should, anyway. I haven't heard anything that would say otherwise.

I believe in IL the newspaper to get is the Chicago Sun Times? Sorry, don't really know where Fry's circulates their ads in the East.

Hey, Happy Thanksgiving all! Hopefully you guys don't mind me asking a question. :) My local Good Guys was one of the ones that was recently converted into a CompUSA, had the grand opening sale over the summer, etc. Thing is, it's not even showing up on the CompUSA website; I was hoping to go there for CompUSA's BF deals. Anyone happen to know the status of these locations? TIA!

Heh. Yes, you can tell what they're going to have on sale if you hang around and look at what they have out in pallets and are shuffling around. Some stores are actually responsible for the ads as well, so if you hang around them you can catch a few glimpses of what might soon be on sale. Oh, and traditionally, a partial ad comes out on Thanksgiving (half?) with the entire ad being released on Black Friday itself. The only other sale I can think of that might come close to these deals at Fry's is, well, its anniversary. Don't remember when that is though.

Hint: Fry's likes to mess with other retailers. Just something I've noticed in the past year. Given that, guess what brand they're going to put out for their $400 lappy this year?
