@ babymains, You are replacing a TV you got only four years ago on Black Friday? I'm curious if it's broken already (or maybe you just want an upgrade), and if it's broken does that make you question the quality of "one time buy special model" electronics that Wal-Mart and other stores sell? My own experience with the "special purchases" has been mixed, and I even returned an unopened ($988?) Vizio 42" TV to Wal-Mart in 2006 when I found no other store was carrying that exact model.

I fully expect to get a name brand, intro-model Blu-ray player for the folks for under $100. Wal-Mart already had something for under $130 at Father's Day. The real money maker on Blu-ray is in the movies, but manufacturers have done a poor job of actually getting us to buy the players. They need us to buy players now.

There's a CVS in my work building. Last year, we had 75% off about a week after Christmas, then 90% about a week or so after that. That store was only at 50% off yesterday. They'll get aggressive soon.
