  1. My DD saw some kids with them and thinks they are wonderful. I tried a pair on her. She wears a 13 1/2 wide and the size 1 was to small. So you may be right
  2. That is sad, but at least you tried to tell her.
  3. My DH has a pair of Clarks that he says is comfortable (but he is not on his feet that much) my dad has a pair of Rockports that he really likes as well.
  4. Dicks Sporting Goods has it for the same price w free shipping and the run coupons in their ads quite often.
  5. There are so many great toys out there. It really depends on what he likes. Personally I would think trucks, a ride on like the little tykes coupe or a power wheels quad, a fisher price basketball goal, train table (if there is room) mega blocks, a wagon, little peoples garage,Liitle touch leap pad, Fisher price Red roarin fire truck, one of those rugs that looks like a road and some smaller cars (he may be a little young for that one) To get ideas for my dd4 I took her to TRU and let her look and play for a couple of hours. I am sure many on here have boys and can help you more my boys are are all grown up now, and no grandbabies yet.
  6. We have used one too.
  7. I took DD to TRU Friday night just to look. It was fun to see the new toys that are out and to get DD's reaction to things ( I finally have a good list for her) She does like the Furreal Parrot, but did not say she wanted one. I liked the Clickstart computer from Leapfrog but I think I am going to try for the Leapster L-max (since I did not get a v-smile from Target) I was disapponited that they did not have the Plasmacar in the store for her to try.
  8. Thanks for the advice. I will have to start looking to see how things are priced here.
  9. I got the styrofoam plates for $2.40, the sunglasses for .48 jumproap for .74 the large throwing disk and the egg and spoon relay game(the last two I am giving to DD's school). I probably have enough stuff put away for ten stockings but no gifts for under the tree yet. I think I know what I want to get people but I will probably change my mind a dozen times.
  10. For boys I think Transformers may be a big item. I like the smart cycle by Fisher Price but I will probably not get it. Polly Pocket has a new bus type thing coming out(Target.com)that I think dd would like.
  11. DS 23 has asked for a lawn mower for Christmas. Does anyone know if these were on sale last BF or should I start watching now for end of summer clearances. I just need a push mower nothing to fancy, but I would like to keep the price down as low as possible.
  12. How does your DD do with the gameboy. Our DD is 4 and I have considered one of those or a leapster.
  13. My cousin's son is the same age and loves the PSP. But I think it depends on the type of games he likes to play. Also there is a big price difference so I would consider how responsible he is.
  14. Long story for a short answer.... other ideas I have heard are the garage because kids assume that moms won't hide things out there and they really don't want to have to clean it anyway. I also know people that swap storage... like take your things to a relatives closet and bring their things to your closet.... When I was 16 my parentshid my gifts in the garage. the was one particular large gift that I knew would be hard to find. I searched the house over nothing Christmas morning I went downstairs early and it still was not there (I was an only child at that time and spoiled) I then went to wake my parents and Dad went downstairs to make coffee when we came down to open gifts there sat my present it had been in the garage the whole time!! I probably passed it three times a day.
  15. My Walmart has never matched % off or BOGO offers. Does yours normally do it? I wish mine would.
  16. Read the post in different GD forums , you never know when a deal may be mentioned that you want.
  17. We went today. I got DS some of his school clothes there. I spent $43 but the receipt said we saved 137.00. I still need to get DS socks and tennis shoes, DD needs socks, a lunch box, and maybe 1 more dress if I can find one I like. DS did good sticking to the clearance racks throughout the mall. He even found a nice shirt from American Eagle for a little less than $7.
  18. This is tax free weekend here so I am hoping they do. Clearance is an extra 40% off too and there are coupons in the sale ad if you shop between 4pm and 10 you can save $10 on $50
  19. I was upset with myself for not stopping at Target this morning on my work but I woke up late. I did go by this evening and got a few Polly Pockets, and a few other small things I did not get a vsmile pocket and I did want one for DD. Oh well she is still had with her leap pad. I am glad so many of you found good deals!!
  20. I am jealous. I saw the little tykes play set for 50% off at my Target.
  21. Maybe I can go Saturday it will be Tax free weekend here too. Every little bit helps.
  22. I went this morning and looked through toys. There are many open spaces, Clearance is still at 30-50% and is very picked through. It is still scattered throughout the department not on one isle here. I was disappointed not only in the prices but in the look of the department.
  23. I went back this morning just in case they marked down last night or early this morning. No changes. I scanned a few items and they were the same price as before.
  24. I have been scanning, especially the items I want but so far most are at 30% There is one item at 50% I want but they have about twleve left so I am waiting. I keep hoping they will leav the signs like they are and one day I will check the price and it will be 75% off.
