  1. I bought my son (yes my 14 yo son) one on kohl’s last night. The cheapest I found was $30 at Walmart. I used the discount and it made it like $24 not much saved but every little bit helps.

  2. Dollar General is one of my favorites too...mainly for the $1 sets of 100 lights they have (actually I think they do that sale on Thanksgiving day). I always buy 6 or so boxes of clear lights every year because I always end up with a set that doesn't work...so much easier to toss them out and use a new set than mess with them for hours trying to get them to work! :g_dance:

I didn’t know they did that with the lights. Thanks!! I never even thought of that.

  3. Not impressed. Same stuff every year. Target has a better price on the Xbox one s when you factor in the gift card too. DVDs are always well priced.

And they are starting their sales at 6 pm again. I won't be going to walmart until Friday morning. Good thing I'm

Not missing much. The only movie my kids want is Suicide Squad.

  4. I'm the same way. My kids are older. They want teen stuff. And unfortunately a lot of it is electronics. I absolutely hate going out on thanksgiving. Last year my hubby and I tried something new because I had hurt my foot 3 days prior and I was in a boot. So he went to help me. We left at the normal time that I used to leave at. And I managed to still get everything I went after except for one item. Which I was able to order online for cheaper a couple of days later. I refuse to let it interfere with my family time again. I only have a few years left with my kids at home I am choosing to cherish it over saving a couple of dollars. [emoji4]
  5. I personally don't think great deals is a thing of the past. I just think it all depends on who your having to buy for. If you have a child then it's great for toys and if you like electronics and games then it's good. I'm sure once I don't have to buy toys or electronics then I may feel like that about the sales but for now, I still think their pretty good. That's not to say every store has a great sales ad. Some just aren't good every year. You have your good ad years and your bad ad years.

Sadly they electronics are not good this year like in the past. I have teens and that's what I really looking for. This year will be the first year in 20 years I may not go out.

  6. I just searched Walmart Black Friday ad 2015 and on the Walmart website it states to watch for walmarts Black Friday ADS with an S. I am wondering if this is all. But I'm thinking it isn't. Also there isn't 3 events like in past years. I think I'm actually hoping there is more to come becomes I am not impressed at all

    This year.

  7. I've never been in the market for one during BF, but do stores really sell that many washer and dryers to constitute pages of them being for sale?

I bought mine several years ago on Black Friday at Home Depot. So I know I've done it. I'm sure several do. But I was just upgrading so I didn't have an immediate need.

  8. For the last few years we've gone to the outlet centers when they open at midnight. Having been able to purchase a lot of the door busters or other high demand items online thanksgiving day, there hasn't been the need to hit the regular stores. Do the outlets, then around 5 am you will see them start to get busier from all the people leaving the regular stores. Then on your way home hit up the Target, Walmart and other stores with 2/3rd less crowd.

Good idea. Now to convince the hubby lol
