I'm mad, I went and line up, I got in the store at 12:15 and all the Centron USB 512 mb drive were gone.!!! 15 minutes!!! Any suggestions on when I should start lining up for staples?

The Centron USB is 9.99 after rebate at CompUSA, anyone know how much it is before rebate? Also, my friend warned me about CompUSA rebates saying that it can take up to six month to actually receive the rebate check. Can anyone refute this claim?
