  1. I have had my nook for about 5 months now and absolutely LOVE it. I also looked at Nook, Kindle, Sony. The thing that swayed me away from Kindle is that with both Nook and Sony you can download from your local library (if they have an ebook catalog). I chose the nook over the sony simply because of the price for the features received. B&N announced recently they're coming out with a color Nook. I think the traditional is more than fine, so I'm not going to upgrade but if you like more color... Also they are coming out with a software update for the nook also next month. Good luck in whatever you choose!
  2. Wow - I guess I don't know if I still get $100.00 I was assuming that I did because I hadn't seen any different. I guess I'll have to go look on their website to check what the cut off is... Hmmm...
  3. I haven't heard anything about them yet either... I did actually venture out to NFM last year (in Omaha) and let me tell you - it was NUTS! Fun, but nuts! I love NFM's prices year round on new releases and usually price match all year with them at WM.
  4. I don't know about bf, but I just got an ad in the mail from them today for an LG sale that runs from the 17th thru the 21st (lovely that I got it in today's mail, huh?)... My contract isn't up until the end of May, so I will still be waiting. Can't give up the $100 credit towards a new phone, ya know!
  5. Optical zoom gives you better quality - It is more like traditional zoom on a film camera. If you've ever seen digital photos that are grainy, usually it is taken when you are zoomed all the way in. Most cameras nowadays use their "optical" zoom and then if you zoom further, it makes up for it in "digital" zoom. I have a really great SLR "like" camera - Fuji Finepix, but want a nice little point and shoot - I think I may take more pictures if I can carry it with me constantly. The Fuji is just bigger and bulkier because it has the nose like a SLR would with the lenses... I think I'm going to stick with either a Fuji again or an Olympus because I've had great luck with the Fuji and my parents have had 2 olympus cameras and loved them both!
