I just got back from our Target, which just opened a month ago. I checked out the phone aisle and found very few phones. It was just bare shelves with clearance tags. I thought it seemed odd considering the store is new. I also saw that many boomboxes/sound systems were clearanced as well. The only great deal I bought was 2 packs of the MM juice!!!! I also had a Target coupon for $5.00 off of $25.00 grocery purchase, so I got some extra stuff to have around while this Nor'easter hits! Editing to ask...how do you know they are security people? Are they plain clothes or identifable?

I want to thank all of you for the great info you share on here and your expertise! I went to our brand new Target for the first time Saturday!! I am so excited to finally have one to shop at. While I didn't see ANY great deals on anything I was looking for, I did find 3 packs of the MM juice boxes for .69 each! I would never have known to look for them without this thread!

We are finally getting a Target near me!!!! Would it be safe to assume that I won't find any good deals for a while or is it possible that they have been receiving merchandise for a while and deals can be found? Anyone have any experience with new Target openings? Anything I should know ahead of time?

I got 6 Choxie bars ($3.00 each) and used my coupons which wouldn't scan. So she tpyed in some stuff and took off the $3.oo for each one, even though the coupon clearly said $2.00. I also got 4 girls Valentines capris for $1.50 each. Then when I got home I found a bottle of curl defining hair gel in my bag-it wasn't anything we picked up/or paid for, but I will use it. ooooops! It was a good shopping trip for us!

I bought pj sets from walmart this year and WAS sorry I didn't buy from Target. Now after reading this, I guess I won't be buying pjs from either store next year. What a sad story-I hope your daughter heals soon.

I'm VERY pleased with amazon! They even gave me the price adjustment I asked for, in less than 24 hours. Most of my holiday shopping was thorugh them, boxes are piled high after arriving quickly.

Refurbs are great. Got one about 1 year ago! No engraving though I believe.

Amazon is great! I got exactly the refund I had hoped for (see first post)! They were GREAT about it and everything was taken care of in less than 24 hours. I won't have to think twice about ordering from them in the future!

katiesmommy01,Only some Office Depot's have them. If you know somebody in a different part of the country try using their zipcode. I live in NY,but I had to order them through my sisters zipcode in New Mexico.

I agree also! Don't buy these instruments. You cannot expect a young student to be successful when the instruments do not play correctly! Buy a used brand name instrument as mentioned above!

I know from my experience that the aides do as much as teachers. My daughter talks very fondly of her classroom aide, more so than of her teacher. We do equal!

Cecelliadb, Your mother sounds an awful lot like my mother! Here's a couple of ideas my mom really liked! 1. We got "Grandma" a photo mug of our girls a year or so back. BIG HIT! 2. Electric toothbrush-never thought she'd care, but when it died, she asked for another! Said it really made a difference!

My girls, age 3 and 5, are REALLY into My Little Pony stuff. The ponies hold up well and offer hours of imaginative play. Hasbro sells My Little Pony stuff online and you can use the code HASBRO25 , for 25% off and free shipping. boscovs.com also has some My Little Pony stuff that is difficult to find elsewhere, including clothes.
