  1. Thanks....Tractor Supply Company?????. Nothing like Tractor Supplies to say Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

    Lol-your post made me laugh.

Actually-they have a lot more than just tractor supplies :yup:, my Mom works there-and I guess they have some decent sales. I always thought they should change the name... :)

  2. Well, a week ago I would have said BB or CC-but that was before we got that screamin' deal on the 50" Plasma from the CC price "mistake".

So, now-although I am totally sad we will not get to camp out-I think I'll hit-up Kohls first, and then WM depending on the ad.

    Happy shopping everyone!

  3. It's not the signal, it's the technology. The motion blur is due to how the pixels are lit, their shape, and their speed. If it doesn't bother you, don't worry about it. Anyone who watches sports should be aware of the problem. Watch a little hockey on the LCD and see if you can live with the blur. Another problem with LCDs is that their colors change with age. The prism works the same, but the backlight changes colors. You can easily see this on any older computer monitor.

    Good reading here: http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/

Still best to look at TVs in a showroom. A lot of showrooms. Plenty power their sets with an HDTV signal. Stand back as far as you sit from your TV at home.

At the same size and price, the only time I would choose LCD over plasma is for a windowed room. The glass screens tend to reflect. This can be mitigated by mounting the TV so the screen leans a couple degrees forward, but it's an issue.

I just wanted to say that we have this Sharp and we play PS3, and Wii on it all of the time and have NEVER had a problem.

  4. My question is, is one brand better than another at this size? I think it was last year that everyone was raving over the Samsungs and saying that they were the best. Is that still true? I don't really care what we spend (WITHIN REASON), so if it's a matter of a crummy brand costing 500 or a good one being 1000, we'd go with the 1000.

I would still say that Samsung is by far the best IMO.

  5. The reviews on the Newegg TV are good and you really don't want to carry a HDTV home on a cold winter day.

Well, we did it last year, and I wouldn't mind doing it again this year if it is for the right price on the right brand.

We got the CC 46" Sharp last year (from UE-long story), and we love it. So, now we just need a 42" for upstairs-or we could move the 46" and get a 50" plasma for the living room.

  6. Last year I had a nightmare with CC and price adjusting. After checking with each and every manager at the store to make sure they would do it-and showing them the printed out ad, my husband and I purchased their 46" Sharp TV that was on sale for $1200 a week before BF. After I waited in line for 2 hours on BF to get it adjusted we discovered that they had given me the wrong model number and refused to match it. I was livid...but now I know better to triple check the SKU #s. They offered to give us another TV that wasn't quite as nice, but before we accepted we checked with BB and Ultimate Electronics to see if they could do anything for us. Well, UE said they would have no problem doing a price match and we got our TV 2 weeks later (after returning the other one to CC)...so it worked out fine...but will definatly go in my books as being the worst BF ever!
