  1. Great Prize, it sure would make a wonderful gift for someone.
  2. I will go as it is tradition for us. But most gifts will be bought already, the last few years I shop for myself on BF and stocking stuffers. it has changed so much from years past, that it doesn't have the same exciting feel.
  3. February is flying by...had a little weekend getaway in Savanah this past weekend, picked up a few stocking stuffers while I was there.
  4. Checking in for this month. Can't believe how fast Feb. is flying by. Had a weekend getaway in Savanah this past weekend. Picked up a few stocking stuffers while I was there. 5. Nothing like waiting till the end to post. January is almost over and ready for a busy February. I retired last year, and started some remodeling and it is just now finishing up, so making up this year doing a few trips. Have two long weekend trips in Feb. Everyone have a great day!
  6. Well, for the first time ever I didn't go to Wal Mart on Black Friday. I did order online the glass storage bowl sets and had ordered online a couple of Samsung 55 inch tv's a few weeks earlier, that were a good deal. We hit a Target, didn't really buy anything there. Old Navy, bought a few fuzzy slipper socks and a few pair of sleep pants. Kurieg Coffee pods at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Soaps, Bath Gels, Lotions and hand sanitizers at Bath and Body Works. We had a nice leisurely lunch, then headed to a big mall, wandered around picking up a few little things for stockings. it was one of my most disappointing Black Friday Shopping trips ever. We did get up early on Saturday and went to an outlet mall, I dropped a little money there at Coach and Kate Spade, guys new wallets and a few new purses one for a daughter and the other for me...LOL We hit a TJ Max store and found some more stocking stuffers. Ended at a Buckee's where I bought a Christmas Tee Shirt, lots of specialty nuts and goodies to stuff the stockings with. I did a lot of my shopping early on Amazon, I still have one more big gift to get and it's an iPad Air, 2022, 256MB, was just hoping to find a last minute special, but will probably buy it by the weekend.
  7. I finally got my inside decorations done, now to find time to get the outside lights up. I am so far behind in the decorating department this year. We had a small renovation project that started in March, that seemed to grow, plus the delay in materials, especially windows and having to fire the first contractor in August. Then finding another one who was willing to come in and clean up the mess by the first one. I am happy to say it is almost completed at this point, (minor things and an outside deck left) we were able to host our annual Christmas party this past weekend. Which truth be told I feared having to cancel. Most of the gifts are bought and ready to be wrapped...almost ready to breath a sigh of relief.
  8. I'm going to say the XBox 360 with the bonus Guitar Hero. I bought it that year!
  9. 1. Which store do you think will have the best Black Friday sale(s) this year? Walmart and Target for the basics. 2. Do you anticipate shopping in stores on Black Friday this year? Feel free to explain why or why not. Yes, that is part of the fun of shopping actually going into the stores. I also will have bought most of the big stuff from online, but finding those last minute, extra's and stocking stuffers. 3. What one aspect of past Black Fridays would you like to see brought back? I think that it is happening more this year, with the stores staying closed on Thanksgiving and opening early Friday morning. I have not been a fan of the stores being open on Thanksgiving since it started, it seemed to take away from the joy of plotting and planning of where to go first. My family always sat down Thanksgiving evening and checked the ads and made our lists while having Thanksgiving desserts, and that will actually happen again this year.
  10. I just retired this year from the school system, so I have been lucky most of my life being off on Thursday and Friday. I many times took Monday off, just to sleep in after all the long hours of shopping and holiday festivities.
  11. Congrats to the winners, and thanks for sharing ideas. I actually found a few things this way.
  12. Target, Wal-Mart, and then Lowe's/Home Depot.
