  1. Easy peasy! I was even able to add a few more things to my cart to get up to the next Kohl’s Cash without anything going out of stock or losing the NOVHOME10 & YOURFAMILY 20% off codes. Hoping Best Buy is as easy tomorrow! Have a great night! Try clearing your cache. I had that problem a few years ago. Good luck!
  2. Some doorbusters changed, others didn't. Took those out of my cart, used the 20% off & $10 off home, and checked out easily. Thanks Kohls for making that such an easy transaction. +++
  3. I decided to do a quick check for the one toy on my list to buy this year and it is an early Black Friday deal! My son wanted the Terrascout Remote Control Drone Blaster but I told him there was no way we could spend $200 on a toy. $99 later I think he'll be THRILLED & SHOCKED to get it! Gottadeal for the win!
  4. I contacted JcPenney because half of the items I'd planned on buying are not yet at Black Friday prices. They let me know that the online sale is not the same as the in store sale & that I'll have to wait for Thursday to get those prices. I'm not sure if they meant the prices will go down online on Thursday to match the ad prices or if I just have to get those prices in store. Sigh. They are making this much too complicated for me.
  5. I bought a telescope, a coat, work pants for my hubby, a couple throws, slippers & a few other clothing items. The Skullcandy headphones I still need are a doorbuster so I guess I'll hop on again on Thursday. I have $75 Kohl's cash coming plus I think I'm up to $25 in rewards so I'll have to figure out what else I'd still like to buy... Good night!
  6. Those comforters & camis are both listed as doorbusters so I'm pretty sure they won't drop in price until Thursday. Good luck!
  7. Clear your browser history. From experience & large amounts of frustration... Good luck!
  8. Thanks20 has an expiration date of 11/21 for 20%. Hoping it works.
  9. Everything in my cart updated and I checked out quickly with a Chromebook, a mouse, Skullcandy wireless headphones, and earbuds. I'd planned to order the Chromebook through Office Max but they decided to not have it online. I'd also planned to get the headphones from Kohl's who also didn't make the sale price available online. So, Best Buy got my business. Yeah! Niccole
  10. My JCPenney order went through smoothly. I already had everything in my cart. I used code VIP43 (although I don't still see that listed on their page) and saved an extra 20%. My husband will be happy to have some new clothes for work. Niccole
  11. I just used LOVE20 and got 20% off my Black Friday purchase. The other 20% off codes I have that may or may not work include LOVE2SAVE & WEGET20. That was relatively painless and I got everything I'd saved in my cart. Niccole
  12. I bought 2 of those for stockings as well. My parents use theirs a lot when they travel. Niccole
  13. I pick up big packs of batteries at Home Depot every Black Friday for each family member's stocking. They usually make it through to the next year. Niccole
  14. I just ordered 3 of the Dell™ Inspiron 15 - 3000 Series Laptop Computer With 15.6" HD Touch Screen & AMD A6 Quad-Core Processor, I3541-2002BLK from Office Depot. Got one for me to use at work and 2 for my boys to do school work and play Minecraft. I hope they are at least a bit of an upgrade for them from the $149 Walmart special that I was looking at. Thanks for all of the input on which machines would be best. I wish I had the money to buy laptops with the optimal specifications for my boys but this will have to do for now. +++ Niccole

  16. I'm looking at all the ads trying to figure out which laptops to consider for my boys. They are only 8 & 10 so I don't want to pay too much but I do want them to be able to play Minecraft on them in addition to being able to do basic things for school. I did some reading & saw that I should look for a dedicated graphics card. It appears that adding that card, though adds on dollars. Can I get away with something that doesn't have the graphics cards but would still work for the game or would the performance be so poor that I would have wasted my money? I was really hoping to stay under $250 each since I need to pick up a new laptop for myself as well... Thoughts? Thank you!
  17. I couldn't figure out how to get the coupon to pop up either. Is there a trick to it? Does it pop up when you go to the cart? When you add it to the cart? Thanks for any tips. Niccole
  18. For me, Black Friday is about providing a Christmas for my family that I otherwise would not be able to do because finances are always just so tight. My love language is gifts so it means so much to me to be able to give the perfect gift and watch my boys' eyes light up with delight. So... If the things I want to buy are a deal online on Monday, at 6pm on Thanksgiving, or at 4am on Black Friday it all works for me! I personally did quite a bit of online shopping this year but also was out in the stores on Thursday & Friday. The nice thing this year is that I had all of my 'must have' items out of the way so our Black Friday/Thursday shopping was less intense this year. While we got almost everything we went out for, if we'd missed out on a deal there would not have been the great sense of disappointment I've experienced before. In exchange for letting my hubby pick out all the cheap Blu Ray movies he wants he shops with me now each year; my son called it our shopping date. He really appreciated the opportunity to come home & actually sleep for a little while before heading back out in the morning over staying out shopping all night. A happy hubby makes for a much happier "shopping date"! GottaDeal, as they've always been, was a lifesaver for me in planning & getting the very best deals for my family. Thank you from the bottom of my gift giving heart! An observation of the stores we visited... Michaels was pretty dead when they opened at 4. Walmart was even busier than previous years but everyone was civil. JcPenney was less crowded than usual when they opened but the crowds picked up. Dick's Sporting Goods had a decent crowd. We ran into Target about 90 minutes after they opened & they seemed to have a light crowd. Friday morning we hit Lowe's, Home Depot, Sam's Club, Mardel, & Old Navy which all had pretty sparse crowds. Gymboree on Friday afternoon was packed. The one area I'd be interested to see the impact on is the smaller stores in the malls. Since most major department stores opened Thursday night, at least in our area, the malls seemed dead Friday. I'd guess those smaller stores pick up quite a bit of residual traffic on a 'normal' Black Friday that they totally missed out on this year. Anyway, just one of those things I wondered about. Many Blessings! Niccole

    Old Navy

Grrr. The email they sent out today says 50% off in stores, UP TO 50% off online. I have all the pants I need for my boys in the cart. I sure hope they are included in the 50% off online. The closest Old Navy is about 30 minutes away. I'd like to avoid having to go into the store if at all possible. Happy Thanksgiving! Niccole
  20. Just sent my hubby out to our local WalMart in Littleton, CO to see if he can get the Skylanders & Disney Infinity... Fingers crossed! We have to leave for a hockey tournament at 5 tomorrow morning so I was going to miss the 8am start time. What a relief it will be if I can mark these off our list! I'll update as soon as I know! So, he got the Skylanders for $37 but said he didn't know I wanted both of them! We had the conversation right before he left the house! Off to Walmart he heads again.
  21. Does the Gap do anything for Black Friday? My boys are at the age when they know what they want and my younger son wants Gap cords for Christmas. My older son wants Old Navy skinny jeans so I've got their 50% off ad on my list. Hoping for something similar... They've never cared before so they just got whatever was on sale! Now I have to figure out all these specialty/smaller stores! Thanks!

  23. I refresh our wardrobes at JcPenney every Black Friday. I've done pretty well picking up everything I'm always looking for. Now, it does appear things like the Levi's go fast. And, some of the Juniors items like skinny jeans. I don't shop for those though so I suppose it depends on what you want. JcPenney has my second longest list this year. Good luck!

    Old Navy

This is the last one I'm still waiting for. My son NEEDS new jeans and is insisting they be Old Navy skinny jeans. Hoping they have a great deal. Have never shopped Old Navy for Black Friday. Any tips? Thanks! Niccole
  25. I pledge to stick around all year! Thanks Brad! +++ Niccole
