  1. All the gifts are in my workshop, in boxes left over from our move a few months ago. If anyone looks, they see large moving boxes with packing paper in them. My trick is trying to get gifts bought on BF home from Iowa in the same minivan with my wife, who also went BF shopping with her sisters while I went separately with my BIL.
  2. I arrived at Sears at the mall in Iowa City, IA, with my BIL at 5:58. One door had a huge line. Another had maybe 10 people. We parked right next to the 2nd entrance and walked out of our car and into the store. We didn't get the gift cards as they were handed out at another door. However, I picked up the five items I needed and was done by 6:15. I heard people behind me at the jewelry counter whining about the rings they wanted that I got the last one of. They really wanted to use their $10 gift cards, but were shut out of purchases they wanted. Sometimes it pays to skip the "mob mentality" and following the herd. My gain, their loss.
  3. I got an e-mail of an early rumor list forwarded by a friend. I've been lurking for the past couple weeks and really had a great time here. Great insights for this my 3rd year of BF.
  4. I could be wrong, but this sounds like the same TV that Wal-Mart had last year for 138.00. I bought one and its not bad. The speakers aren't the greatest, but a 27" TV looks better in the living room than a 19". I plan on buying one again this year. And for $90, it'll look just fine in the basement family room.
