  1. This year will be 16 years for my family and add about 5 more helping my sister for hers.
  2. Lists are made...nothing left to do but haunt this site!
  3. We've always gone to early church service (about 4 pm). After church we drive around for a while to see lights. Then we go home and everybody gets to open 1 present each, we would get the cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer ready and write him a note. then we would watch A Christmas Story and then when I couldn't keep my eyes open, go to bed....well, after the kids went to bed then we had one last job to do then got to go to bed...and we're usually more excited than children so we can't sleep well so we get up and watch more of A Christmas Story.
  4. I always make a list of what I have and what I need to get, along with what needs batteries and how many. That stays in my purse because noone ventures in there but me. Before my son was in school I'd wrap at night then during the day when he was in school. I hid everything in the basement or my mothers room. My son has never been a snoop, he doesn't want to spoil the surprise for himself. As far as the writing on the tags, I used an elf handwriting which is a writing style completely opposite of my usual. My normal writing always slants to the right so for the elf writing I slant way to the left and shape my letters different. He never figured it out.
  5. I go way overboard. I only have one child and usually spend anywhere between $600 and $800. This year is going to be pushing it. He needs a new tv and wants the nintendo wii. My wallet is already groaning!
  6. I've worked at alot of stores and what really amused me was watching them push each other out of the way as the doors open and just run like crazy people as if their lives depended on getting in the store first. I was thankful that I was on the safe side of the counter!
  7. I have the kodak C340 easy share with printer dock and love it! It's small, lightweight and easy to use. The software that comes with it is great and you can do so much with your pics on that. I've recently seen that bundle going for $179.99 at several places but saw it last on amazon.
  8. Only buy for very immediate such as husband, son and my mother as family is too large on both sides and we'd go broke! We do buy for the little ones though and there are only 3 of them. You can't pass little kids up.
  9. Thanks for posting that. I was really upset that I wasn't notified of the pre orders even though I had signed up right away to be notified and that I missed it. Now I feel better that I still have a chance. I've been checking Amazon several times a day since that happened and haunting EB Games trying to get info from them.
  10. I used to work for KB Toys and we would start getting alot of merchandise about this time and would get our BF ad by mid October.
  11. I only go into Walmart on BF if there is something that I really need. I didn't shop there at all last year.
  12. This one isn't for 2005 but my number 1 BF moment of all time. My sister and I got to Walmart about 25 minutes before it opened and we were in the part of the line that was wrapped around the back of the building, so it was gonna be a while before we got in. We were after some really hot items so when we got in we split up to get what we needed. I timed us. It took all of 7 minutes to get in the door, through the crowds, to the items and through the check out! And we got all of the items we went in for. I don't think we could do that again.
  13. Same here, I think it's just an ongoing thing. You can't pass up a good deal on an item that you know someone would really like. And it is very hard not to give the gifts early!
  14. Sometimes they do only let so many people in at once. It depends on the manager. I worked for KB for 3 years and one year on BF we opened at 5:30 and the only workers that showed up were the manager, asst manager and me and that's when the manager only let 15 or 20 people in at a time. She guarded the gate and even though people had to wait to get in no one complained because it was quick and easy to get in and out.
