  1. I really hope so because they are not giving us much time before the sale that starts the 7th.

My thoughts exactly. I feel like the ads should have been released last week with the first sale being on the 7th.

  2. That's what I am thinking. The way we normally do Black Friday planning money wise is by paying all the bills up for the month at the end of October/first week of November. I then take and save work checks for the rest of the month for Black Friday (week of Thanksgiving). Looks like I am going to have to go with a retailer who is doing it closer to the end of the month like normal instead of Walmart.

  3. Deals I am hoping to find this year are:

    -Wooden swingset with 2 slides

-PS5 (I just want to find one in general lol)

    -Nintendo Switch Oled

    -iPad

    -Airpods

    -Apple Watch

    -Gaming chair

We are combining my 5 and almost 7 year old's big Christmas gift this year into a new swingset. The one they currently have is being trashed this month because I don't trust them on it anymore since it is falling apart. Trying to find a good deal on one for around $1200. We will probably be going through Sam's Club since they seem to have the best deals for that. My 12 year old daughter is wanting a Nintendo Switch Oled, Airpods, and Apple watch. I bought her cheapish earbuds last year and told her if she kept up with them through the year we will get her a pair of Airpods. She has done great with them so going to definitely get her a pair of them. We are transforming my almost 10 year olds little walk in closet into a gaming room for him. He wants a gaming computer but I got him a Sony gaming monitor and going to pair it with a PS5. My almost 7 year old needs a new iPad since her little brother (he's autistic and has trouble controlling emotions) broke her one from last year. Of course clothes as well because we always do clothes and shoes as a gift each year.

I'm from South Georgia so boiled peanuts is a big deal around here. You can always find someone on the side of the road in most small towns selling hot boiled peanuts. Even our gas stations has boiled peanuts in a warmer ready to serve. One of the problems you find with boiled peanuts is having to carry around a ziploc bag to put your peanut hulls in. This would be perfect for the person (like myself, my parents, or just about any southerner who loves boiled peanuts) cause you could just put your peanuts at the top and put the hulls (shells) at the bottom. Easy clean up as well. This would also work with pistachio's and sunflower seeds which is also something that my entire family loves to eat and always have to have a little bag to put the hulls in.

  5. Christmas movie nights with takeout, hot chocolate, and popcorn. We ride around and see Christmas lights while drinking milkshakes/frappes. Christmas parades is also a must do for us every year. We do Gingerbread houses as well. This year we are adding on to our festivities by taking the kids to Suwannae River of Lights in Florida. It's a drive through lights display and at the end of it you can get out and take pictures, see Santa, and make smores.

  6. Adding Kohls to my list of best deals. Spent $350 on clothes, shoes, and blankets for 4 kids. Got back $105 in Kohls Cash plus I got $30 in Kohls Cash from Kohl's rewards program so total of $135 in Kohls Cash. Used that for my son another pair of Nike's, Nike shirt, Scentworx products for my daughter, Nike hoodie for my youngest daughter, and pajamas for the youngest two.

  7. Costa Del Mar sunglasses. Originally $180, paid $90. Spalding basketball goal. Originally $219, paid $129. Verizon iPhone 13/iPad deal. I got my daughter a iPhone 13 for $15 a month plus I got $250 off my youngest daughter's iPad 9th generation. Originally it was $459 through Verizon but with this deal I got it for $209. With unlimited plan and device on our contract is only $18 a month instead of almost $45.

  8. Did 99% of my shopping online.

Kohl's- Spent $345. I got 4 Big One throws, 9 pairs of kids jeans, 2 pair boys fleece joggers, 12 kids shirt, 2 kids hoodie, 3 pairs of Nike's for my kids, and 2 Wet brushes for my girl's, I got back $90 in Kohl's cash plus $15 in Kohl's rewards that will be converted on the 1st. Spent the $90 on my oldest daughter some Scentworx shower gel, lotion, and body spray. I also got my oldest son another pair of Nike's and another Nike shirt. When the $15 gets converted I am putting that towards my oldest a pair of black leggings. My goal was to spend under $800 on clothes for the kids for winter this year (I have 4 kids).

Rack Room Shoes- Nike Air Max shoes for my oldest. Paid $60, originally $90 so $30 in savings.

Walmart- 40 inch Onn tv- $140 with tax. Samsung A42 phone- $99 with contract plan. It's for my almost 9 year old so didn't want to spend a ton of money on a more expensive phone until I know he will take care of it. 3 pack kids undies for $5.50 each so $16.50 total. Mickey Mouse big blind bag. 1:6 Jeep Wrangler RC toy- $49 with tax. In store I did snag a Baby Yoda Bop it! for $10.00 and the Rainbow Magic Mixies but I don't know if $54 was Walmart's regular price for that. 4 pairs of girl's jeans for $7.50 each.

Target- 4 of the 3 month Game Pass Ultimate plans. Paid $100 for 12 months so not bad at all on that. Basketball for $10 and Basketball goal for $140 with tax, originally it was $219 before tax. 3 packs of flash cards that was B2G1 so paid roughly $6. Good stocking stuffer for my 6 year old. Axe body wash gift set for $7 and a razor gift set for $7 that was included in Target's 30% off.

Amazon- 2 pack Mickey Mouse pajamas (our Walmart didn't get in any for some reason this year) for $12. Little doll with horse playset for $5. Glitter Babyz for $17, originally $32. Got my husband a pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses for $90, originally $180. iPad stylus (Not Apple Pencil) for $25. 3 kids books from their B2G1 special. Barbie color Surprise reveal for $30.

Best Buy- HP Chromebook for $149.

This is just from the actual Black Friday ads and doesn't include pre Black Friday ads. I got tons from the earlier sales.

  9. Got my oldest son a pair of Nikes, 2 pairs of jogger pants, 3 shirts, and a hoodie. Got my oldest daughter 4 shirts. My 6 year old 3 shirts and my 4 year old 3 shirts and a hoodie. Total was $160 with $45 back in Kohl's cash. Whenever my check hits this week I am getting my oldest son another pair of Nikes. My oldest daughter 2 pairs of leggings and a Wet brush. My 6 year old daughter a pair of Nike's, 2 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of leggings, Wet Brush, and a pajama set for herself and her doll. My 4 year old 3 pairs of jeans and him a pair of Nike's. Total around $200 with $60 in Kohl's cash. I also spent $60 a couple weeks ago when they did the first sale and got 3 Big One blankets for my youngest 3 and jeans for my oldest two. So roughly $420 with $120 Kohl's cash back for winter clothes and new shoes for 4 kids. Not bad at all.

  10. I've done received 2/3 of the items I ordered Sunday morning. The third item is the basketball goal for $129 but it's out for delivery today. Going in store Friday to pickup some of their 30% gift sets for stocking stuffers. No complaints with Target this year.

  11. I got the 40 inch for $128 last night. It didn't start showing available to purchase until 7:04. They sold out pretty fast around here being as it was for pickup only. Check out was smooth once it showed available to buy. Didn't get anything else since we are going to the store Friday for the pajamas.

  12. I miss going late Thursday night shopping for Black Friday deals with my husband BUT I am glad that these retailers are letting employees off to spend time with their family. I just hope that next year if they decide to spread out sales over a couple weeks that they release their major ads beforehand so people know whether to wait or not on an item.

  13. I haven't really looked closely at any of the ads. Are any stores even doing "in store only" items this year?? The last few years most stores have had the majority of their items online. But they've always had a few store only purchases.

I don't think that I have seen any that was in store only. I might be wrong but I don't think there was. I honestly believe that majority of the shopping from here on out will be online versus in store.
