Only once in all my years of retail was I off on Black Friday and that's the day DS was born! On his first birthday, I tried to get off (or at least work opening so I could spend some of the day with him) and I ended up working 11:00-9:00. Supposedly that was the best they could do! And that was Black Saturday. It was not a pretty day in the Small Appliance Department that day! Thank heavens I am out of that line of work now. .... I could NEVER give up my BF fix! I wish you luck but I don't think you'll get very far. Maybe ask if you can close that day???

Hi! Hopefully someone will be able to help me. I am in DIRE need of the Sears BF ad. Specifically, I need help remembering what games were on sale from 6-11 for $4.99. I know Uno Deluxe was one and I believe there were either 4-6 others as well. Can anyone help me please? It is very important! I donated alot of my BF finds to a foundation for children with Ewing's Sarcoma and they now need it itemized and I CANNOT remember the second game I got from Sears. I appreciate it! TIA Becky

As of right this moment, I have spent exactly $514.96 on 15 people ... No more than $200 for each child and DH. DD will have 24 gifts to open (most expensive was her My Size Barbie @ $29.75), DS will have 14 (most expensive was his massaging executive desk chair @ $77) and DH will have 20 (most expensive so far is his down comforter/duvet cover @ $47). I am VERY proud of myself this year!!!!

2:30 am here ... DS is upstairs playing HALO2 and I'm just about ready to head out to Sears (4AM opening here) and HE thinks I'm the one who needs help?!?!?!?!? Thanks to this board, I really feel pretty good about today. Think I just may stay around for a LOOOOOOOOONG time! Anyway..... good luck everyone. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Try finding the FurReal Friend Panda cub! I went last Sunday and got a raincheck at TRU and they told me that they're lucky if one comes in each box and of course that's the most requested one. <sigh> Just keep swimming ....

It honestly depends on the ads, but the one I definately avoid is Walmart. Those people are out for blood! Two years ago, a friend of mine was actually thrown into a cart by people trying to get the GBAs. Not pretty! Last year I made arrangements with another BF mom and she went to Wal-mart while I went to Circuit City. Worked out well for both of us. Hoping to do that again this year. Thanks to this site, so far I know I want to go to Sears and Radio Shack (same mall) but prefer to mall shop AFTER hitting everywhere else. Will wait to see what TRU, Kmart, Target, Circuit City and Value City to determine my final game plan. Keep up the good work guys!

BigMoChick, I did the same thing with the Target 75% off. Got three really pretty princess gowns/accessories (Barbie Princess/Pauper, Belle and a purple crushed velvet gown) for $19 that DD can use as dress up or put on her BIG gift this year .... My Size Swan Lake Barbie that I got after Christmas for $28.75! Next to BF, I LOOOOOOOOOOVE those after-Christmas clearances!!! The thrill of the hunt....

#1 ... I am looking for a camcorder deal for a friend of mine. She wants it for her 11 year old daughter, so she wants to keep the cost at ~$150 or less (if possible, altho not very probable!) She lives in Yorktowne, VA. I sent her a link to this site too (as a gift LOL)

I don't exactly have a "war story" but I have to vote for our Circuit City as the most "BF-friendly store" in the area .... for the past two years they have brought out Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts and coffee, passed out maps of the store so you can locate the BF specials and just generally been nice people! Sure beats the Target next door who literally corralled their customers into a cart maze .... not pretty when the doors opened!

Let's seeeeee...... for sure portable dvd player office chair with massager I've got Christmas pretty well under control, but there's always SOMETHING I have to have on BF!!
