Thinking about these for gifts this year. Has anyone see any deals on them on BF or are they a set price kinda item? Seems like $195 is the standard price everywhere.

Went to TRU today and there was a sign posted that they are discontinuing price matching anything from Walmart until further notice. I am sure it has to do with the deals they are starting this Friday.

I am joining third thread but mine is for kindergartner. She already has a nook that she uses and likes. This would be more for getting her use to operating an actual computer. What does everyone think of the BB door buster they have? I'm hoping office max or Office Depot has something similar.

I'm surprised that we didn't see one of the big retailers start their sale Wednesday night.

 

Go from like 8pm Wednesday until 2am Thursday, and then open again at midnight or early Friday morning.

 

You'd let your employees have most of the day off, you'd beat your competitors with your starting time, and you could even offer 2 sets of doorbusters - one Wednesday night and one on Friday.

Really that would be the best option! I know that I would rather have that then the stores open at 5, 6 or 8 pm on Thursday!

Yeah I will not be at TRU at 5 ON Thanksgiving Day! Even though I do need some stuff from there, their ad wasn't that impressive. I'll probably just order everything online at midnight.
