My mother, who lives with us now, will be 92 in a couple of months. We’ve accommodated her with her own wing of the house in which is her TV that she loves to watch and does so on a regular basis. Based on her declining physical health there’s not much else she can enjoy for a reasonable length of time. She enjoys all aspects (i.e. DVDs, Cable, Netflix, etc.) The only problem is the multitude of remotes with their small, non-intuitive buttons have got her completely baffled. Accomplishing what she needs via one or two easy-to-access buttons would greatly alleviate her frustration.
