  1. I'm in the "we may not offer some items in all locations" fine print category apparently. My store does not have the Canon wireless printers.
  2. Windows 8 is basically a tablet operating system. It can be used without a touchscreen but it VERY different for the average user of previous versions. It's downright annoying for the in depth user. A touchscreen simplifies it enormously.

    wrist bands?

Walmart was FANTASTIC this year! Wristbands, one hour guarantees, sheets/towels had a limit so one person didn't grab every single one, organized line for video games and movies. Best BF ever at Walmart. Coupled with the fact that it wasn't packed. I'm probably in the minority but I vote Thanksgiving opening every year. Almost everyone I talked to had done quite a lot of their shopping online after midnight last night too. I hope wristbands are here to stay, they do need to do better advertising for it though. I read it and understood it, but we watched person after person walk up (after wristbands were gone) and get pissed off at the employee because they couldn't get a wristband. Most of them didn't know 1 hour guarantee meant "raincheck", they just kept saying "how can you run out, it says guaranteed for one hour!"
  4. It will be strapped to the top of an employees 1987 Honda Civic. Seriously though, Walmart doesn't have delivery trucks or vans. In my opinion you'll be a lot better off getting someone you know to help you or borrowing a vehicle big enough.
  5. I have no idea, BB is the one place I have no friends or relatives working. My guess is they absolutely have to do something, especially with WM price matching everything on the planet now. It would be a pretty bad move not to. (I'm in the minority that said "meh" when I saw the ad, I thought at that point they were keeping the good stuff for later)
  6. I'm with you. I have 2 35+ year old Kirbys and they still work better than every vacuum I've tried, including all the major brands with new technology. And you can get them for $20-30 at garage sales and auctions. They do weigh a ton and they're as loud as a freight train but they're strong enough to almost pull the carpet right off the floor.
  7. What are the odds the laptops will be windows 8 touchscreens?
  8. Are they comparable, very early on yes. I started with almost that exact guitar, same company but a different model. After about 2 months getting out of simple strumming you can and getting an ear for it you can really tell it's cheap, after a short time he'll be trying to adjust everything and be wondering why it doesn't sound as good as the music he's listening to and trying to play. You'd be better off (hopefully there's a guitar center nearby), GC's BF ad the Epiphone on page 1 is the same one included with the rocksmith bundle (just has the model # renamed for BF sale), it's only $69, or the bundle on top of page 2 of guitar centers ad, comes with a decent amp/bag/dvd/picks/pitch pipe, it's a really good deal. The startup cost will be about $80 more but if you think he'll stick with it for any length of time it will be well worth it. It will be the difference of needing to upgrade the guitar in 3-4 years as opposed to 3-6 months for a cheaper one.
  9. The Epiphone Les Paul Jr is a very good guitar for a beginner, for the price it simply can't be be. If he has some experience and is moving out of the beginner stages into more advanced techniques, finger picking, legatos etc. I would recommend getting the guitar separate, the bundled one is cheap because it uses cheap parts, pickups/electronics. The step up to a really good guitar for intermediate players is only around $100, there are so many good choices at that level you'd have to talk with the employees at your local guitar store (it's one industry where most of the employees actually know what they're talking about). But if he's a beginner the guitar that comes with these bundles is generally thought of as the best starter guitar there is.
  10. I've never specifically looked and can't recall, but have there ever been projectors on BF sales? The ceiling mount type that project an HD picture on a wall or screen.
  11. Meijer, Thanksgiving day sale sadly, I didn't notice or I'd have gotten one. However Kmart still has it for $5 http://www.kmart.com/christmas-story-3-flavor-popcorn-24-oz/p-033W003897279000P?pageInd=product&PRODUCT_TITLE_BRAND=christmas-story-3-flavor-popcorn-24-oz&currentProductTitle=christmas-story-3-flavor-popcorn-24-oz&prdNo=11&isSEOCanonURL=true&catgroupId=033W003897279000P&catalogId=10104&blockType=G11&storeId=10151&partNumber=033W003897279000P&blockNo=11&i_cntr=1353705125929
